Are You a U.S. Citizen or a Squatter?
Unusual question, but, when asked if you are a U.S. citizen you will most certainly reply, yes. Now if you were asked what is your duty as a U.S. citizen, are you able to answer? Probably not. And that, my friends, would put you in the category of, “squatter”.
But have no fear, it’s not your fault. If you are a product of the public school system you were never taught what responsibilities and duties you have as a U.S. Citizen.
Your parents and the public school system have the duty to teach you these responsibilities. All of our ancestors who immigrated to the U.S.A. took the following oath to become U.S. citizens, and that oath is handed down to each generation.
I hereby declare, on oath,
- that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen;
- that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic;
- that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same;
- that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by law;
- that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law;
- that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law;
- and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.
This is much more than an oath, these are promises you make as a U.S. citizen.
You have promised to participate in the political process by registering and voting in elections.
You have promised to serve on a jury.
You have promised to support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
You have promised to serve the country when required.
You have promised to participate in the democratic process.
You have promised to respect the rights, beliefs, and opinions of others.
You have promised to participate in your local community.
You have promised to swear allegiance to the United States.
So, are you a U.S. citizen, or a squatter? Only you can decide.
God bless,
