I'm a lifelong Democrat and I might vote for Romney

The Sunday breakfast conversation is always lively and usually about sports at the counter of the Highland’s Cafe at 85th Street and Third Avenue, in New York City.  However, this week’s talk was all about politics and also extremely animated.  The guy to my right had already struck up a conversation with another counter dweller and said: “I’ve always voted Democrat, but I’m worried about my business and Obama’s not showing me anything so I’m gonna give the other guy a chance.”

Like many disgruntled Democrats, he couldn’t utter the name Mitt Romney in public, but it was obvious who he was talking about.  The consensus at the counter was clear: forget about social issues and other Republican agendas – we are scared to death about the economy. 

The discussion focused on the fact that no one believed the federal government runs efficiently or effectively, so the idea of paying more in taxes to wasteful government agencies is like throwing gasoline on the fire instead of water.

I have conducted my own straw polls in various U.S. cities and I’ve yet to find anyone who believes our government is well run, except for President Obama.

Waste and mismanagement are the words frequently used to describe our federal government, yet I can’t recall the president ever championing or even discussing fiscal reform.  Yes, Obama established a bipartisan commission in 2010 to address fiscal reform, but it’s not part of his campaign platform, despite deficit spending surpassing more than one trillion dollars per year.

I’ve been a registered voter for 38 years and I’ve always voted Democrat, straight down the line, but I’m unhappy with out of control spending and incompetent bureaucrats who seem to have no concern or regard about how they spend my hard-earned money.

There are many others like me on the fence – a socially liberal but fiscally concerned silent minority, who are close to or have already abandoned President Obama.

So far, rather than running on issues, President Obama has disappointed me by mounting a Karl Rove-style negative campaign. 

I never thought it would happen, but for the second time in a week, I’m out in public talking about giving the other guy a chance.

The Obama Syndicate: When Evil Rules the Land and its People

No more State’s rights…no more human rights…no more US Constitution.

 

 “The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.”  That observation from Greek mathematician, philosopher and teacher Plato is as profound today as it was when he first made it over 2,400 years ago.

 

 Since then many others, including Benjamin Franklin and Edmund Burke, have made essentially similar statements…all of which augment the basic truth that the desires of evil men to control and install tyranny over their fellows has not changed since the days of Plato and even before.  This has never been as true as it is today in the United States of America, which is under both siege and rule from Dictator-in-Chief Barack Hussein Obama and the would-be oligarchs in Congress and the US Supreme Court.

 

 We in the USA are living in an expanding police state, where an increasing number of conservative Christians are now being forcibly removed from their residences and placed into mental hospitals for their “crimes” of expressed anti-Obama, anti-tyranny and pro-US Constitution sentiments.  The most recent of these are Marine Veteran Brandon Raub who was forcibly removed by authorities from his home and placed in a mental institution and Christian Conservative Jason Egroff who was literally kidnapped by the Scranton PD and placed in a mental hospital.  Their crimes?  Disagreeing with the US dictator.  And—as is their bent—the “mainstream” (aka Obama) media are not covering any of this and—instead—are now taking daily orders from the Obama White House on what they may and may not cover and may and may not say or write.  The US press has now thoroughly and perhaps irrevocably been compromised, as it has embraced and willingly joined the Obama totalitarian movement and soon-to-be-open war against the American people.

 

 Reports and pictures of US soldiers patrolling multiple States’ residential streets in middle America have been coming in for months.  Trains transporting heavy military artillery (including armed tanks) to locations within the USA have been spotted and filmed by citizens.  It appears that the Obama federal government is now firmly and with force telling US States they are trumped by Obama on every front.  This, my friends, is no longer America.  Instead, it is a country that has been subjugated and is in the process of being completely decimated and destroyed on each and every level and by any and all means which Obama can muster.

 

No more State’s rights…no more human rights…no more US Constitution.

Precious U.S. citizenship: diminished and given away by Obama

These three kids wanted to run for the tall grass. It was early ‘90s at the U.S. Citizenship Ceremony in Maryland. Around 1500 people filled the hall comprising of citizenship applicants, supportive family and friends.

 I was backstage with a trio of extremely nervous and intimidated teenagers who were scheduled to sing our National Anthem. These kids had never performed for such a large audience.

 I had been the grand finale of the ceremony for years, performing my original song, “Celebrate America” after applicants took their oath of allegiance. I took great pride that my song was the first song thousands heard as official Americans.

 When the MC introduced the trio from so-and-so junior high school, the kids were visibly shaking. They began the anthem fine, but one got nervous and stopped singing which threw off the other two and they stopped singing as well. The trio stood in silence.

 I walked from backstage and joined the kids center stage. I told the audience that these kids were symbolic of what it really means to be an American and the great family they would soon become a part of. I shared that the kids were very frightened because the event was much larger than they expected. They could have backed down and refused to perform. But despite their fear, these kids found the courage to face the difficult challenge, keep their word and give it a try. This is the American Way.


Together, the trio and I sang the National Anthem. The audience gave us a standing ovation.

Performing my song at U.S. Citizenship Ceremonies rewarded me an opportunity to chat with brand new “proud” Americans. They understood the sacrifice and divine blessing required to make this extraordinarily unique experiment called “America” a thriving reality. They gleefully desired to assimilate into our culture.
Some applicants were extremely old in wheelchairs; their raised right hand assisted by a family member as they tearfully recited their oath of allegiance.

As the sacred sound of the applicants reciting their oath of allegiance, in unison, came to an end, the hall always erupted in cheers and applause. These jubilant people of various races from numerous countries were officially Americans! They respected our laws, followed the rules and were awarded the precious gift of U.S. Citizenship.

With a stroke of his executive pen, Obama awarded amnesty to illegals, pushing them to the head of the line, in front of applicants who are following the legal process to become U.S. citizens. Obama is disrespecting the efforts of those seeking citizenship legally and the value of what it means to become an American.

National Popular Vote….. ??

 

Progressive organizations are quietly pushing a "popular vote" that could see only 14 states - those with the largest populations - decide the presidency for voters in all 50 states.

The vote for president is the only one in which all Americans vote for a national leader. In framing the U.S. Constitution the Founding Fathers displayed their characteristic wisdom and subtlety in firmly rejecting a purely popular vote to elect the president, in order to balance the power of the larger states against the smaller.

The Electoral College was fashioned as a compromise between an election of the president by direct popular vote and election by Congress.

However, a group backed by the progressive left, calling itself the National Popular Vote, or NPV, has already been successful in quietly pushing for abolishing the Electoral College in favor of a "popular vote."

Under the rubric of a 'National Popular Vote,' this plan would allow the 14 most populous American states, mostly majority-Democrat, to determine the outcome of future presidential elections. The voters of the 36 less populous states would then effectively be disenfranchised.

The plan is already gaining traction.

In 2007, Maryland became the first state to approve a "national popular vote" compact. As a result, in a theoretical winner-take-all contest, Maryland would allocate all of its 10 electoral votes to the candidate who won the most votes nationally – even if the same candidate did not win the most votes in Maryland.

By March 2012, eight states – California, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, plus the District of Columbia – had enacted the "national popular vote" into law.

Two other states, Colorado and Rhode Island, had passed it in both houses, but it had not been enacted. Ten more states had passed it in one house, and 10 others had passed it in a committee. Eleven states had held hearings on it, and nine more states had introduced bills.

While organizational support comes almost exclusively from left-leaning groups such as the American Civil Liberties Union, the League of Women Voters, the Soros-funded Common Cause and the Demos group, NPV's army of lobbyists has also been pushing its plan to the Republican National Committee, the American Legislative Exchange Council and conservative think tanks such as the Heartland Institute and the Heritage Foundation.

There is, however, one hitch in the NPV plan: For a "national popular vote" to predominate, the full 270 electoral votes must be based on identical legislation (the "interstate compact") passed by each state.

Is this how Obama will steal the election?

40 Reasons Not To Re-Elect Barack Obama

1) Obama took 700 billion dollars out of the Medicare program and put it into his wildly unpopular health care program. This is despite the fact that even Obama has admitted,

Medicare in particular will run out of money, and we will not be able to sustain that program no matter how much taxes go up. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will put that money back into the Medicare program where it belongs, while Obama won't.

2) Barack Obama's stimulus plan cost more than the Marshall Plan, the Louisiana Purchase, and putting a man on the moon — combined and it was a complete and utter failure -- more than 800 billion dollars that accomplished nothing of significance.

3) If Barack Obama is re-elected, Obamacare will go into effect in 2014. This will lead to huge doctor shortages, exploding health care costs, companies dropping insurance, death panels, much longer waits to see a doctor, and a dramatic deterioration in the quality of American medical care.

4) Do you believe that your taxes should go up in the next four years? Well, Barack Obama does,

"Nobody’s looking to raise taxes right now. We’re talking about potentially 2013 and the out years." — Barack Obama

5) Even the left-wingers at Politifact admit that Obama broke his promise to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term.

6) America lost its AAA credit rating for the first time since 1917 on Obama's watch.

7) Even though Barack Obama keeps blaming do-nothing Republicans for his myriad of failures, the Republicans in the House have passed multiple budgets while Barack Obama and the Democrats in the Senate haven't pushed a budget through in the last three years. That's a big deal because passing a budget is one of the most basic duties of Congress. A Congress that can't pass a budget is like a mechanic who can't handle an oil change.

8) Barack Obama called George Bush "unpatriotic" for adding so much to the debt. Yet, Obama added more debt in 3 years and 2 months than Bush did in both terms.

9) "Do you think it’s okay for Barack Obama’s campaign contributors at Solyndra to receive a 535 million dollar government loan, approved by one of Obama’s fundraisers, even though it was known that the company was in trouble and there was an excellent chance it wouldn’t be able to pay back the loan?"

10) Barack Obama is touting his interference on behalf of his union cronies at General Motors and Chevrolet as a big "success." The cost of that "success" for the taxpayers? 25 billion dollars.

11) Obama selected Tim Geithner, a man who was a tax cheat, to be his Treasury Secretary. That's bad enough, but then Obama spent his whole first term lobbying for tax increases and accusing other people of being greedy for wanting to keep more of their own money. When even the Treasury Secretary refuses to willingly pay all of his taxes, maybe the problem is that you're spending too much, not taxing the American people too little.

12) Under the "Cash for Clunkers" program, Obama spent 3 billion so he could buy and destroy perfectly functional cars. This was mind-numbingly stupid, but it was supposed to at least cause a major spike in auto sales and improve gas efficiency. The program is now almost universally recognized as a failure on every count.

13) Barack Obama put an end to NASA's manned space flight. In other words, because of Obama we no longer even have the same capabilities that we had in 1969. Meanwhile, NASA Administrator Charles Bolden says the "foremost" mission of NASA is now Muslim outreach. Yes, really.

14) Despite the fact that Obama had a disastrous first term, he hasn't even put forth a second term agenda. After one of the worst four year runs of any President in American history, Obama's message to the voters is, "Trust my judgment when it comes to deciding what we'll do differently."

15) "If you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, ‘Well, it must be ’cause I was just so smart.’ There are a lot of smart people out there. ‘It must be because I worked harder than everybody else.’ Let me tell you something: If you’ve got a business, that–you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.” -- Barack Obama

16) After BP had a massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, Obama exacerbated the crisis and dramatically slowed down the clean-up with his incompetent handling of the whole affair. Obama performed so poorly that even James Carville and Chris Matthews were publicly criticizing him.

17) "No, no. I have been practicing…I bowled a 129. It’s like — it was like Special Olympics, or something." — Barack Obama. Classy!

18) We were told that George W. Bush was a cowboy who was making the world hate us. Yet, as Chuck Norris notes,

The Washington Times reports that, according to a poll by even two left-leaning groups, “A majority of Americans say the United States is less respected in the world than two years ago and believe President Obama and other Democrats fall short of Republicans on the issue of national security.”
In February 2012, Gallup reported that “Americans continue to express much greater dissatisfaction than satisfaction with the United States’ position in the world, and their views have improved little since hitting a low point in 2008.”

19) "But I don’t want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking. I want them to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess. I don’t mind cleaning up after them, but don’t do a lot of talking." — Barack Obama. In 2008, Barack Obama ran as a moderate, bipartisan reformer who was going to change the tone in Washington. He has governed as a hyper-partisan, arrogant, divisive, polar opposite of the man he pretended to be in 2008.

20) Although liberals and conservatives disagree on who's to blame for Obama's poor performance as President, there seems to be general agreement that he hasn't done very well. Of course, you can't tell Obama that.

Oprah: What grade would you give yourself, for this year?

Obama: Um, good solid B+

…Oprah: So B+, what could you have done better?

Obama: Well B+ because of the things that are undone. Health care is not yet signed. If I get health care passed we tip into A minus.

21) Despite claiming to be in favor of traditional marriage to get elected, Barack Obama betrayed Christians by coming out in favor of gay marriage.

22) The First Amendment rights of the Catholic Church are being violated under Obamacare. Despite its long recognized religious opposition to contraceptives and abortifacients, Obama is demanding that Catholic hospitals go against their faith to remain open. Every last Catholic bishop in the United States opposes Obama's anti-Christian policy and it will likely lead to numerous Catholic hospitals shutting down if Obama is re-elected.

23) Barack Obama despicably played the race card by telling Hispanic Americans that Republicans were their "enemies."

And if Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, we’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us, if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s gonna be harder – and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2.

The President of the United States shouldn't be trying to pit different groups of Americans against each other based on the color of their skin.

24) "The Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home. . . . What I think we know — separate and apart from this incident — is that there is a long history in their country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately, and that’s just a fact." — Barack Obama on the arrest of his friend, Henry Louis Gates.

25) The "Justice Department" helped put guns in the hands of drug cartels via Operation Fast and Furious that were used to kill hundreds of Mexican citizens and at least one American, Brian Terry. After stonewalling a congressional investigation, Barack Obama asserted executive privilege to try to keep the truth from coming out about the biggest scandal since Watergate.

26) We essentially have an open borders policy in America now for illegal aliens who haven't committed felonies in the United States.

27) Barack Obama is illegally trying to implement the DREAM Act by fiat, despite the fact that it failed to get through Congress.

28) The fence on our southern border was supposed to be completed in 2009. Not only has it not been completed, but the virtual fence has been put off until at least 2016.

29) Because Barack Obama is so out of touch, he thinks that "the private sector is doing fine.".

30) Obama has blocked the keystone pipeline and ANWR while he has held up offshore drilling in the Gulf and demonized oil companies. It's hard to say how much more you're paying at the pump because of Barack Obama, but we can be sure the amount is considerable.

31) In 2011, nearly 1 in 7 Americans were on food stamps. Is setting a record for putting the most Americans on food stamps really the sort of achievement that should merit a second term?

32) Despite the billions of dollars that were spent on TARP, U.S. home ownership is at a decade long low. So is the number of Americans who say their home is worth more than they paid for it. Home prices are the lowest they’ve been since 2002.

33) The staggering cost of the new regulations that the Obama Administration has implemented on American businesses over the last 3 1/2 years? 84 billion dollars.

34) Obama sent BILLIONS of dollars of YOUR TAX DOLLARS overseas as part of the stimulus package. The stimulus may have been a complete failure here in America, but I'm sure the companies in China, Spain, and South Korea sure loved pocketing our money.

35) In a more competent administration, what happened with Johnson Controls, Inc would have been a big scandal. That company was given 300 million dollars of stimulus money and used it to create.....150 jobs. That's 2 million dollars per job created. Unfortunately, the Obama Administration has performed so poorly, in so many ways, that this minor disaster has barely even been a blip on the radar.

36) George W. Bush started the TARP program, but Barack Obama supported the program, continued it, and made it worse. The cost of bailing out all those "too big to fail" fatcats who wanted capitalism on the way up and socialism on the way down? At least 34 billion dollars of taxpayer money although that dramatically understates the real cost because many banks paid back the TARP money with other funds that they received from the government.

37) We've had the longest streak of above 8% unemployment under Barack Obama since the Great Depression. Meanwhile, according to the Obama Administration, his stimulus bill was supposed to have produced 5.6% unemployment by now.

38) The terrible jobless numbers don't really give you a sense of how badly Obama has done as President because those who quit looking for jobs are no longer counted in the numbers. We've had the most rapid decline in labor force participation in recent history under Obama -- from 65.7% in 2009 to 63.7% in 2012.

39) Under Barack Obama's leadership, we've had the weakest economic recovery of any country, anywhere in the world since 1970

40) "Look, I’m at the start of my administration. One nice thing about the situation I find myself in is that I will be held accountable. You know, I’ve got four years. And, you know, a year from now I think people are going to see that we’re starting to make some progress. But there’s still going to be some pain out there. If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition." -- Barack Obama on the economy in February of 2009

 Today Canada Free Press (CFP) is launching the ‘End the Bush Era Vote Out Obama’ campaign.

 ‘End the Bush Era Vote Out Obama’ is really the first of many messages we hope to send from the ‘Send Obama Packing’ campaign’ through the CFP ‘Paper Boy’.

No one depicts the campaign better than CFP resident cartoonist ‘Dag Barkley’ who designed the CFP Paper Boy caricature to send the message over the Internet.

Barkley, whose other cartoons have been gracing the CFP cover of late, says he was “born beneath a loaf of ‘wry’ bread that took time to rise”.  “A long-time patriot of the American flag-waving sort, his cartoons are about opening eyes to what is happening in the world,  one panel of sadly true humor at a time.”

 In the oppressive, almost four years since Obama has been in the White House, he’s worked to replace the Constitution with the Fundamental Transformation of America, to turn the 236-year-old Republic over to a Socialist State.

Obama’s message has never changed. Mocking patriots and freedom lovers through a Teleprompter, Obama has remained relentless even though his policies hurt real people through massive home and job loss. Freedom has frittered away under Obama.

Quietly but surely came a sea change this week.  The imperiously relentless Obama is now trying to walk back two of his campaign cornerstones, his obsessive blaming former president George W. Bush for the havoc he has wreaked, and the incredulous walk back attempt of his words, “If you got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

Obama is only pushing the Blame Bush fiat under the bus now because November 6 elections make it crucial to switch the blame to opponent Mitt Romney.

Trying to take back his “you didn’t build that”  statement only came because Obama now recognizes he may have dropped his mask too soon.

The ‘End the Bush Era Vote Out Obama’ campaign will follow Obama down the wire right up to to Election Day.

It took almost four years of blaming Bush before the tables began to turn on Obama’s “blame Bush” trademark survival strategy. 

“Just last month, NBC’s David Gregory suggested that the Obama campaign should really start thinking about cranking up the Bush blame (as if that’s never occurred to them), but these days that particular brand of retro-scapegoating is falling on increasingly skeptical ears,” writes Doug Powers. ( Michellemalkin.com, July 24, 2012). In other words, Obama’s main peg has finally run out of the oxygen of credibility.

As Powers points out, “two-thirds of likely voters say the weak economy is Washington’s fault, and more blame President Obama than anybody else, according to a new poll for The Hill.

“It found that 66 percent believe paltry job growth and slow economic recovery is the result of bad policy.  Thirty-four percent say Obama is the most to blame, followed by 23 percent who say Congress is the culprit.  Twenty percent point the finger at Wall Street, and 18 percent cite former President George W. Bush.

“The results highlight the reelection challenge Obama faces amid dissatisfaction with his first-term performance on the economy.

“The poll, conducted for The Hill by Pulse Opinion Research, found 53 percent of voters say Obama has taken the wrong actions and has slowed the economy down.  Forty-two percent said he has taken the right actions to revive the economy, while six percent said they were not sure.

“Which is why we’re seeing a new approach: Obama inherited the economy from Mitt Romney.”

When it comes to the fine art of Marxist table turning, Obama may end inflicting upon himself the same fate he is prescribing for average Americans by ensuring that they have nowhere to run from capture by Socialism.  In his case: nowhere to run from the truth.

What Is the Role of the People?

 The stirring opening words of the Constitution proclaim that it is the work of “We the People.” In the Declaration of Independence, the American people had announced to the world that they were sovereign and free. In the Constitution, they sought to defend this freedom by creating a unique government for an exceptional nation, a government that derived its just powers from the consent of its people. In this American republic, what is the role of the people?

The United States is exceptional because of its universal founding principles. At the heart of these principles is the belief that people are free by nature and possess inherent rights. The use each of us makes of these rights will naturally be different, and the outcomes of those choices will naturally differ too. But the choice remains ours. Freedom is thus inextricably bound up with living our lives as we see fit. This is self-government in the truest sense of the term. We the people need not slavishly defer to experts. We can be trusted to govern ourselves.

That is why government must remain limited: The people have given it only limited powers, as described in the Constitution. When government takes more than we have given it, it renders our choices meaningless. At worst, unlimited government is tyrannical; at best, it imposes a dull uniformity that crushes true diversity and saps the independent spirit of the people.

The Founders believed that a crucial problem was to avoid creating a government that could be dominated by a single faction. That faction might be a minority, or it might even be a majority. But no matter its size, it would inevitably seek to promote its own narrow interests at the expense of the liberties of the people. One purpose of the Constitution’s checks and balances, one reason why it divides and limits power, is to restrain the ambition of the powerful, and—in the words of the Constitution—to ensure that government genuinely promotes “the general Welfare.” As the federal government has grown over the past century, the business of government has increasingly become taking from Paul to benefit Peter, and then borrowing from Peter to pay off Paul. What the supporters of big government call the general welfare is merely the artful distribution of favors to particular factions.

The federal government is not supposed to be the most important institution in America. In securing the general welfare, it is supposed to do only those things that are provided for in the Constitution. It must, for example, provide for the common defense and regulate our relations with foreign nations. It must respect our right to enjoy the fruits of our labor by taxing lightly, and defend the freedom of the marketplace by ensuring the rule of law. And it must remember that the family and religion are where we learn virtue, and that without virtue, government cannot be both limited and free.

When all government . . . shall be drawn to Washington as the center of all power, it will render powerless the checks provided . . . and [it] will become as venal and oppressive as the government from which we separated.– Thomas Jefferson

 As John Adams stated: “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” In the United States, government requires not merely the consent of the governed. It rests ultimately on the ability of the people to govern themselves. The first role—the first duty—of the people is to ensure that they remain virtuous and free.

That is why the American system is based on the rights of the individual, but not on individualism. When Thomas Jefferson wrote in his Notes on the State of Virginia that “it is the manners and spirit of a people which preserve a republic in vigor,” he captured a vital truth of American freedom. The Founders placed great hopes in the Constitution, but they knew that no paper constraints could preserve liberty. That duty rested ultimately with the American people. The role of the Constitution was to restrain and to check, and—as Washington wrote—to “raise a standard to which the wise and honest can repair.” The words of the Declaration, the lives of the Founders, and the design of the Constitution can inspire, but on their own they cannot preserve the American republic.

Only the American people, steeped in the principles that inspired the Founders and animated the Declaration, can do that. And America’s virtues do not appear out of thin air. They are not the result of individuals living in isolation. They are social virtues. They are nurtured in families, sustained in religious congregations, and fostered in the everyday interactions of work, hobbies, and life. Long before the Declaration, foreign observers were surprised by the number and vigor of America’s social institutions, and by the everyday democracy of American marriage, work, and society.

Far more than any other nation in the world, Americans recognized each other as social and thus as political equals. That is why the traditional American virtue of self-reliance is so vital, and why the growth of government is so dangerous: Self-reliance means we have an obligation to try not to impose financially on our equals. Big government does not see citizens who provide for themselves and help their fellows; it sees subjects whom it must tax and on whom it must spend.

The wish of the Founders was not for us to live as isolated individuals. Nor was it to insulate government from religion and civil society. On the contrary, it was to insulate religion and civil society from the government, to prevent government from weakening and corrupting it. The Founders believed that, if the sources of civic virtue remained free and strong, the American people would remain capable of self-government. There is no magic in the American people that can save them if they do not save themselves. That is why Ronald Reagan said, in his famous speech on the Evil Empire of the Soviet Union, that “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” As Americans, we have always an obligation to pass the inheritance of freedom on, unimpaired, to the next generation. That is the second duty of the people.

Deep, abiding suspicion of President Obama and his penchant for an overly strong centralized government

 There is a stream of anxiety running through America that is threatening to become a full fledged tsunami.  It is fueled by deep, abiding suspicion of President Obama and his penchant for an overly strong centralized government.

 Obama’s use of Presidential Executive Orders to literally MAKE US law, totally by-passing the people’s national legislature charged with actually making the laws of the land, lead to grassroots America’s perception of a dangerous pattern.  It was a disturbing move by the President and it appeared to the average American as a not so subtle attempt by Obama to set himself up as America’s first dictator.  

 Far-fetched, you say?  Paranoid, you say? Really?  May we be so bold as to remind everyone: Eternal vigilance is the price of freedom. Protecting freedom is an on-going never-ending job.

There is a growing concern, out here in the hinterlands, that the scheduled election for November 6th, 2012 will never happen.  Even more troubling is the number of Americans preparing for a complete meltdown of the government as we know it today and the establishment of Martial Law and a suspension of the elections in November.

 OK.  You might not like it, and it might sound utterly “nutzo” to you—but—THAT is what is fueling the fear and anger that has America on edge—and believe me, America IS on edge. It is not good for ANYONE when America is on edge.  It is especially not good when they see the government apparently preparing to put down “civil unrest” in America.  All that does is pour gasoline on the fire.

While I’m at it, allow me to shine the light on a troubling concern of white people in America.  There is a feeling, expressed in whispered conversations, about the upcoming election.  It is this:  If should Obama lose the election there will be a national uprising of black Americans and a race war will break out in the country.  Folks are quietly preparing for that eventuality.

Obamacare law designed to unionize 21 million health care workers

In a book set for publication Tuesday, a politics and government  professor at The Citadel claims President Obama’s 2009 health care reform law was, in part, a union-driven effort to organize 21 million health care workers.

In ”Shadowbosses: Government Unions Control America and Rob Taxpayers Blind,” Mallory Factor describes a December 9, 2008 memo from Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Healthcare president Dennis Rivera to the Obama-Biden transition team.

That memo outlined a legislative proposal calling for “increasing the capacity of the health care workforce” as part of a larger health care reform initiative.

The SEIU and the Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), Factor writes, later coordinated with other public-sector unions to spend “literally hundreds of millions of dollars promoting Obamacare.”

The Daily Caller requested comments for this article from the SEIU, AFSCME and a White House spokesman. None of them responded.

A booklet published by SEIU during the 2008 election season called for “building a new American health care system,” in part by “organizing workers.” The publication argued for outcomes nearly identical to those later adopted in the Obamacare legislation.

Romney may not be the best representative the Republicans could have selected.  At least I know what religion he is, and that he won't desecrate the flag, bow down to foreign powers, or squander my money on vacations.  I know he has the ability to turn this financial debacle that the "Spending President" has gotten us into.  We didn't know that when Obama said he'd give us change, he meant nickels and dimes, and he would get the big bucks.  We won't like all the things necessary to recover from this debt, but someone with Romney's background can do it.

But, on the minus side, He never was a "Community Organizer", never took drugs or smoked pot.  Never got drunk. Did not associate with communists or terrorists. Nor did he attend a church whose pastor called for God to damn the U.S

Bill Gates: World needs fewer people

Joins abortionists for 'family planning' conference on eugenics

Software billionaire Bill Gates, who previously has advocated the reduction of the human population through the use of vaccines, and his wife Melinda marked the 100th year since the First International Eugenics Congress in London with a “family planning” summit with abortionists and the United Nations.

The July 11 event, co-hosted by the United Kingdom Department for International Development, included organizations such as Planned Parenthood, Marie Stopes International and the U.N. Populations Fund, as well as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Critics pointed out the summit was held 100 years after the July 1912 eugenics conference led by Leonard Darwin, the son of Charles Darwin, and dedicated to Darwin’s half-cousin Francis Galton. Galton invented the term eugenics to promote the idea that strategic breeding would improve mankind.

According to Christian Voice, a ministry that analyzes current events and acts on Scriptural instructions for “a better way, God’s way,” the 1912 event promoted the “notion that economics can be improved by decreasing the surplus population,” based on the theories of Thomas Malthus.

The 17th century luminary suggested that the poor were “draining the world’s resources,” and a solution would be “to introduce policies specifically designed to bring death to large numbers of peasants.”

Christian Voice pointed out Malthus “encouraged poor people to move near swamps, because he knew that they would catch diseases there and begin dying off.”

The report noted that the 2012 summit “included no calls for forced sterilization, but Bill and Melinda Gates did pledge hundreds of millions of dollars to improve access to contraception in the developing world.” Both Bill and Melinda Gates repeatedly have said there are too many people on earth.

“This was made explicit by Melinda Gates in 2011 when she commented that ‘government leaders … are now beginning to understand that providing access to contraceptives is a cost-effective way to foster economic growth,’” Christian Voice said.

Said the report: “So what exactly is the relation between contraception and economic growth? The connection is simple: fewer people = more resources.”

Controversial ideas, however, are not new to the Gates family. WND reported recently when Natural News said dozens of children in Malawi were vaccinated against measles at gunpoint. The partner in the forced medication program? The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, according to Natural News.

Two separate press reports said that the parents took the children into neighboring Mozambique to avoid Malawi’s announced mandatory measles vaccination program for various religious reasons. However, when the families returned home to Malawi, they found the medical providers and police had waited for them, and the children were forced to receive the vaccines.

The Christian Voice report said the parents and children belonged to the Zion and Atumwe churches and believed it was a violation of their religious principles to receive the shots. According to the Christian Voice report, District Health Officer Medison Matchaya made sure the medics giving the shots had a police escort.

The link to the concept that fewer people would make the world better came when Gates suggested vaccines as one method of reducing the world’s population. Gates made his remarks to the invitation-only Technology, Entertainment and Design 2010 Conference in Long Beach, Calif. His February address was titled “Innovating to Zero!” He presented a speech on global warming, stating that CO2 emissions must be reduced to zero by 2050. Gates said every person on the planet puts out an average of about five tons of CO2 per year.

“Somehow we have to make changes that will bring that down to zero,” he said. “It’s been constantly going up. It’s only various economic changes that have even flattened it at all. So we have to go from rapidly rising to falling, and falling all the way to zero.”

Gates presented the following equation: CO2 (total population emitted CO2 per year) = P (people) x S (services per person) x E (average energy per service) x C (average CO2 emitted per unit of energy) “Let’s look at each one of these and see how we can get this down to zero,” he said. “Probably one of these numbers is going to have to get pretty near to zero. That’s a fact from high school algebra.” Discussing the “P,” or population portion of the equation, he stated, “Let’s take a look. First we got population. The world today has 6.8 billion people. That’s headed up to about 9 billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent” [emphasis added]. Further, he said it would not be hard to keep track of children, the vaccines they’ve had and when they’re due for another.

He said cell phone technology could be used to register every birth around the globe and track children to make sure they have been vaccinated as government advisers urge. The massive effort was discussed by Gates at a mHealth Summit, which delved into the issues of technology and health. According to Natural News, Gates told the conference that the goal is a lower population, and using vaccines to improve early childhood health is a step in that direction.

“That sounds paradoxical,” he said. “The fact is that within a decade of improving health outcomes, parents decide to have [fewer] children.” “If you could register every birth on the cell phone, get fingerprints, get a location, then you could take the systems where you go around and make sure the immunizations happen,” he said. “Run them in a more effective way.”

WND also reported in May 2009 when Gates joined some of the richest men and women in the world meeting secretly in New York to talk about using their vast wealth to bring the world’s population growth under control.

In addition to Gates, the meeting included some of the biggest names in the “billionaires club,” according to the London Times, including David Rockefeller, Ted Turner, Oprah Winfrey, Warren Buffett, George Soros and Michael Bloomberg.

In February 2009, Gates also discussed population control. “Official projections say the world’s population will peak at 9.3 billion [up from 6.6 billion today], but with charitable initiatives, such as better reproductive health care, we think we can cap that at 8.3 billion,” he said.

At American Thinker, just before the recent conference, Andressen Blom and James Bell wrote that Melinda Gates said this year’s conference should involve “no controversy.” But they wrote the “only difference between the conference a century back and this year’s” is that this year’s “will never acknowledge that eugenics is its driving idea.” “Eugenics is the infamous idea that governments should decide which kinds of citizens ought to be considered desirable … and which kinds of citizens ought to be considered undesirable … and employ the power of the state to encourage increases of desirable citizens (positive eugenics) and encourage decreases of undesirable citizens (negative eugenics),” they wrote. They quoted Melinda Gates’ statement that government leaders “are now beginning to understand that providing access to contraceptives is a cost-effective way to foster economic growth.” “Governments should provide all women with access to family planning tools that are safe and effective,” she said.

  Under Barack Obama, America is facing an explosion of the elderly poor. The facts are in, the strategy revealed. If Barack Obama and the Democrats win the upcoming election, an ugly era of population engineering, the steady elimination of our elderly through Obamacare will lead to a crisis in humanity.

In addition to Social Security, America’s retirees rely on varied combinations of their savings, investments, company pensions, and Medicare for their existence, all of which are targets of Obama’s war on the elderly.

During a 2008 televised political debate,  candidate Barack Obama was asked were he to become President, where would he first cut spending. Obama stalled and stammered hoping the clock would run out so he could avoid answering.

 The debate moderator again demanded an answer. Seconds before the buzzer sounded, a reluctant Obama answered, “Medicare.” Sounding along with that buzzer was a death knell for American seniors. Obama had set his sights on America’s greatest generation and those following swiftly on their heels. At a 2010 House Retreat, when asked directly, Obama responded to now Republican Vice-Presidential nominee Paul Ryan, that his answer to fixing Medicare is Obamacare. During a CBS 60 Minutes interview, citing numbers from the Congressional Budget Office, Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney pointed out that Obama’s destruction of Medicare is well underway, “There’s only one president that I know of in history that robbed Medicare – [$741] billion to pay for a new risky program of his own that we call Obamacare.”

Built-in delays put off the Obamacare nightmare until after the election. Denying control of medical decisions normally made by patients, their families and doctors, Obamacare outsources your personal decisions to a bloated government bureaucracy run by unelected, leftist ideologues. Extensive cuts to senior care are in the offing with fill-in-the-blank clauses purposely left open to be completed at the discretion of those who control Obamacare. On CBS 60 Minutes, Paul Ryan stated he has a personal reason to fight for seniors to remain on Medicare as it now exists. “My mom is a Medicare senior in Florida. Our point is we need to preserve their benefits, because government made promises to them that they’ve organized their retirements around. In order to make sure we can do that, you must reform it for those of us who are younger.” Ryan stresses that everyone over the age of 55 will keep Medicare as it now exists for the rest of their lives. Proposed is the option for those under 55 to choose Medicare or new alternatives.

The left is always sugar-coating its real positions with misleading nomenclature. They never use the term “pro-abortion” for instance. It’s always “pro-choice.” They rarely say “homosexual.” It’s usually “gay” (they’re all very happy, after all). I’m sick of this. They call themselves radical… liberal… progressive. What does that mean? That we are superficial, narrow-minded, and retrogressive? That’s what they would like people to believe. Words and labels are important. And, as usual, they’re abusing them.

 

Radical comes from the root “root.” Being radical is getting to the root of things, assessing the nature rather than just the appearances of things. But is the left radical in this sense? No. They do want to change the fundamental nature of America, but they have not really looked all that deeply into the reality of what America is and was. All of their solutions are short-sighted ones—aimed at treating symptoms rather than addressing root problems.

Consider the welfare “cure” for poverty. It might give a little more money to some people who currently have little, but leftist “radicals” have failed to understand why most people are poor. It’s often not because they are “under-privileged.” It’s usually because they are lazy. And welfare doesn’t curtail laziness. In fact, it promotes it. That’s like thinking precipitation hurts the bug population just because you don’t see many mosquitos while it’s raining. So, leftists aren’t radical.

How about “liberal”? Well, the word originally applied to what we would call libertarians (Adam Smith and Edmund Burke were self-labeled liberals), and it has become about the most useless word around (next to nice and lolz). I like to be liberal when I’m applying mayonnaise to a BLT or tipping at a restaurant. And, whatever the left may say, so-called “liberals” are some of the most intolerant and close-minded people around. Need I mention Chick-Fil-A (for the googolplex to the infinity-eth time)? On the other hand, people who believe in smaller government tend to be much more open-minded. Think about it. They want you to be able to do what you think is best for yourself more often than they want you to be forced to do what their representatives think is best for you. “Liberals” don’t really care what you think is best for yourself. They want government to tell you what you should and shouldn’t be doing, believing, saying, etc. both inside and outside of your home and business. Doesn’t sound very liberal. Really, when they say “liberal,” they mean morally lax. But that isn’t for your sake. It’s for theirs. They just want to do whatever they want without anyone telling them it’s not a good idea… even if it makes everyone else miserable.

How about progressive? Nope. Under the “innovative” programs of social(ist) crusaders, the only things that have progressed are illiteracy, poverty, crime, injustice, and tyranny (to name just a few social ills).  And the policies that have gotten us into this mess aren’t all that novel either. People have been attempting them against all sound judgment for millennia and they have never worked. Ever. Leftists aren’t progressive either, then.

We shouldn’t be allowing them to do this. The fact is that reasonable, freedom-loving patriots have always been the most radical, most liberal, most progressive people around. And though we may have to give up these labels because they have been tainted by malapropist double-speakers, I just thought someone should set the record straight.

The corruption of America is complete. The Congress is corrupt. The Supreme Court is corrupt, and the President is both corrupt and a fraud. How can this be possible? Because the citizenry of this nation, for the most part, is the product of an education system that has brainwashed it students for several decades. These "Blind Sheep" only know how to destroy, or pick apart,  any subject or person. They are not capable of logical reasoning. This birth certificate issue is one where logical reasoning would apply.

The case has been made by reasonable persons qualified in the field of document analysis that this document is a composite and a fraud. The press doesn't listen and then ask questions about the results found, it asks questions and attacks the persons who have presented the creditable evidence. THE GAME IS RIGGED. We have a Republican candidate for President who is aware of this birth certificate issue and is being pummeled in the press to give up more tax returns so that the Democrats can destroy him by nonsense. And yet this coward, Mitt Romney, refuses to attack this fraud of a President on the birth certificate issue.

All this confusion could be ended in one afternoon. President Obama could let Sheriff Arpaio view his real birth certificate in the vault in Hawaii, under the "protective eyes" of the press, so that it could be ascertained that the Internet version of this birth certificate and the one in the vault are one in the same. But this is not going to happen for two reasons: 1. The two versions of this certificate will not match, and 2.This great distraction is a divisional issue between the Patriot's of America and the Republican, public educated, "Blind Sheep". It is good sport as we say in England.

So now, you say, "Well if the documents don't match, that fact in itself is a crime." Yes, but does anyone really believe that it is worth fighting a civil war over such an issue? Don't mentally jump ahead, continue reading.

Obama's secret strategy for staying in power

ROB THE VOTE!

The Obama administration is widely regarded as the most lawless in U.S. history. This much you already know.

Not enough votes to pass Obamacare? Bribe senators. Don't like the Defense of Marriage law? Refuse to defend it in court. Congress won't pass the "Dream Act" granting amnesty to a million illegals? Do it yourself by executive fiat. Don't want to defend America's borders? Sue states that do. Don't like congressional inquiries? Ignore their subpoenas.

Obama's violations are so blatant and manifold that nine states have joined together to sue the federal government for its rampant lawlessness.

So, now comes election time – and guess what the Obama administration's approach is to America's most sacred and fundamental civic institution.

Utter lawlessness. The actions and intentions of Team Obama, if distilled into words, would be this: To hell with "the law." We're using every means possible to retain power and establish a permanent progressive voting majority in this country.

Incredibly, in today's America, voter fraud has become an essential component of how Democrats(Kleptocrats) win elections.

Obama's reelection strategy – besides bribing his core constituencies in hopes of cobbling together a winning voting coalition – is to encourage, enable and empower widespread abuse of America's election system in a multiplicity of ways.

After all, non-citizens, illegal aliens, felons, multiple-state voters, dead people and other ineligible voters constitute a vital Obama constituency. And make no mistake, the left's get-out-the-illegal-vote campaign is in full swing.

This is the most disgraceful of all abuses of America's election system – the consistent suppression, disqualification and mishandling of votes cast by America's soldiers (who statistically lean Republican) who are deployed overseas while protecting their nation. Believe it or not, for the November 2010 midterm election, less than 5 percent of military voters "were able to cast an absentee ballot that counted," according to data released by the federal Election Assistance Commission.

In another in-depth report, researcher James Simpson sums up the left's campaign to corrupt America's election system thusly: "Like a KGB operation, it is thorough, multifaceted and redundant. It has overt and covert, illegal and legal elements, the latter of which are designed, at least in part, to facilitate illegal activities later. It is a deliberate, premeditated, comprehensive plan to win the 2012 presidential election at all costs, and is in keeping with the organizational methods, associations and ethics of the community-organizer-in-chief, Barack Obama."

What leftist activists are doing with the aid of the Obama Justice Department is beyond outrageous.

They must be stopped from totally corrupting America's electoral system. There's really no more important or consequential battle in our country today.

Now more than ever we need to enforce voter ID across the nation to protect the integrity of the election process from the hands of the Kleptocratic party of the Kleptomaniac in chief.
