Does Obama know he’s fighting on al-Qa’ida’s side?

‘All for one and one for all’ should be the battle cry if the West goes to war against Assad’s Syrian regime

If Barack Obama decides to attack the Syrian regime, he has ensured – for the very first time in history – that the United States will be on the same side as al-Qa’ida.

Quite an alliance! Was it not the Three Musketeers who shouted “All for one and one for all” each time they sought combat? This really should be the new battle cry if – or when – the statesmen of the Western world go to war against Bashar al-Assad.

The men who destroyed so many thousands on 9/11 will then be fighting alongside the very nation whose innocents they so cruelly murdered almost exactly 12 years ago. Quite an achievement for Obama, Cameron, Hollande and the rest of the miniature warlords.

This, of course, will not be trumpeted by the Pentagon or the White House – nor, I suppose, by al-Qa’ida – though they are both trying to destroy Bashar. So are the Nusra front, one of al-Qa’ida’s affiliates. But it does raise some interesting possibilities.

Maybe the Americans should ask al-Qa’ida for intelligence help – after all, this is the group with “boots on the ground”, something the Americans have no interest in doing. And maybe al-Qa’ida could offer some target information facilities to the country which usually claims that the supporters of al-Qa’ida, rather than the Syrians, are the most wanted men in the world.

There will be some ironies, of course. While the Americans drone al-Qa’ida to death in Yemen and Pakistan – along, of course, with the usual flock of civilians – they will be giving them, with the help of Messrs Cameron, Hollande and the other Little General-politicians, material assistance in Syria by hitting al-Qa’ida’s enemies. Indeed, you can bet your bottom dollar that the one target the Americans will not strike in Syria will be al-Qa’ida or the Nusra front.

And our own Prime Minister will applaud whatever the Americans do, thus allying himself with al-Qa’ida, whose London bombings may have slipped his mind. Perhaps – since there is no institutional memory left among modern governments – Cameron has forgotten how similar are the sentiments being uttered by Obama and himself to those uttered by Bush and Blair a decade ago, the same bland assurances, uttered with such self-confidence but without quite enough evidence to make it stick.

In Iraq, we went to war on the basis of lies originally uttered by fakers and conmen. Now it’s war by YouTube. This doesn’t mean that the terrible images of the gassed and dying Syrian civilians are false. It does mean that any evidence to the contrary is going to have to be suppressed. For example, no-one is going to be interested in persistent reports in Beirut that three Hezbollah members – fighting alongside government troops in Damascus – were apparently struck down by the same gas on the same day, supposedly in tunnels. They are now said to be undergoing treatment in a Beirut hospital. So if Syrian government forces used gas, how come Hezbollah men might have been stricken too? Blowback?

And while we’re talking about institutional memory, hands up which of our jolly statesmen know what happened last time the Americans took on the Syrian government army? I bet they can’t remember. Well it happened in Lebanon when the US Air Force decided to bomb Syrian missiles in the Bekaa Valley on 4 December 1983. I recall this very well because I was here in Lebanon. An American A-6 fighter bomber was hit by a Syrian Strela missile – Russian made, naturally – and crash-landed in the Bekaa; its pilot, Mark Lange, was killed, its co-pilot, Robert Goodman, taken prisoner and freighted off to jail in Damascus. Jesse Jackson had to travel to Syria to get him back after almost a month amid many clichés about “ending the cycle of violence”. Another American plane – this time an A-7 – was also hit by Syrian fire but the pilot managed to eject over the Mediterranean where he was plucked from the water by a Lebanese fishing boat. His plane was also destroyed.

Sure, we are told that it will be a short strike on Syria, in and out, a couple of days. That’s what Obama likes to think. But think Iran. Think Hezbollah. I rather suspect – if Obama does go ahead – that this one will run and run.

Editor fired over 'shove it' Obama headline

'This newspaper will not permit violations of its standards'

The Chattanooga Times Free Press editorial page editor who criticized President Obama’s jobs plan by telling the president to “shove it” is now out of a job.

Drew Johnson’s editorial, titled “Take your jobs plan and shove it, Mr. President: Your policies have harmed Chattanooga enough,” went viral and drew national attention earlier this week when President Obama visited the city.

Johnson, who had been with the newspaper for just over a year, addressed his firing with a classic comment on Twitter.

“I just became the first person in the history of newspapers to be fired for writing a paper’s most-read article,” he tweeted. “We change headlines all the time without incident or issue.”

Worse yet, Johnson said the policy he reportedly broke “did not exist” when he changed the headline.

“It was created after people complained about the headline & was applied retroactively,” he tweeted.

Johnson added: “To answer a question I’ve gotten a lot: I feel confident that if the headline had referenced Bush instead of Obama, I would still have a job.”

In an interview with Fox News, he said his criticism of the president’s jobs plans was in line with the views of many readers, but his bosses were dealing with complaints.

“[The editor] said that she was disappointed in the headline, that she thought it was crass and she’d gotten a lot of complaints by Obama supporters,” he said, recalling a meeting he had with the editor earlier in the week.

The newspaper released a statement Thursday saying Johnson had been fired for “placing a headline on an editorial outside of normal editing procedures.”

“The headline was inappropriate for this newspaper,” the statement read. “It was not the original headline approved for publication, and Johnson violated the normal editing process when he changed the headline.”

The newspaper denied Johnson’s firing had anything to do with the content of his editorial.

“The Free Press page has often printed editorials critical of the president and his policies,” the newspaper stated.

“This newspaper places high value on expressions of divergent opinion, but will not permit violations of its standards.”

The newspaper has since removed the original “shove it” headline and replaced it with the generic line, “President Obama’s policies have harmed Chattanooga enough.”

As WND reported, the no-holds barred commentary greeted Barack Obama in an entirely new way as he traveled to Chattanooga, Tenn., to visit an Amazon.com business center and lobby for his newest strategy to try to create jobs for Americans.

“Forgive us if you are not greeted with the same level of Southern hospitality that our area usually bestows on its distinguished guests,” editors admonished.

“You see, we understand you are in town to share your umpteenth different job creation plan during your time in office. If it works as well as your other job creation programs, then thanks, but no thanks. We’d prefer you keep it to yourself,” the newspaper said. “That’s because your jobs creation plans so far have included a ridiculous government spending spree and punitive tax increase on job creators that were passed, as well as a minimum wage increase that, thankfully, was not. Economists – and regular folks with a basic understanding of math – understand that these are three of the most damaging policies imaginable when a country is mired in unemployment and starving for job growth.”

At Amazon’s Chattanooga fulfillment center, Obama boasted of creating “7.2 million new jobs over the last 40 months” because of the “grit and resilience of the American people.”

The newspaper noted “64 percent of Chattanooga respondents said they would rather you hadn’t chosen to visit our fair city,” but the editorial said it actually was good that Obama visited.

“It will give you an opportunity to see the failure of your most comprehensive jobs plan to date, the disastrous stimulus scheme, up close and personal,” the editorial said.

Johnson’s termination was the talk of the paper’s Facebook page, with most visitors taking the newspaper to task for firing an opinion page editor.

“Free Press means free to print as long as the Politburo approves it, right?” one person asked.

“You have FREE PRESS in your name but someone get’s fired for their opinion. WOW,” added another person.

“So … fired the guy who wrote his opinions against the president? That’s cool. … Free Press? Right,” opined another Facebook user.

Johnson revealed via Twitter that his firing comes just two weeks before his wedding.

He vows to continue defending liberty and free-market principles when he lands another job.

Obama – Divider-in-Chief – Says Race Relations May Worsen if He Doesn’t Get What He Wants

Barack Obama, the great Divider-in-Chief, has been doing whatever he can to convince people that his way is the best way, even though the facts provide an opposite picture. Aside from his usual rhetoric, he is now, once again, emphasizing race relations as a reason to ensure that his agenda becomes the law of the land.

In a recent speech (if he isn’t pontificating, he’s vacationing), he essentially said that if Congress doesn’t get in gear and apply his prescriptions to America’s economy, things will get worse. “If we don’t do anything, then growth will be slower than it should be. Unemployment will not go down as fast as it should. Income inequality will continue to rise…Racial tensions won’t get better; they may get worse, because people will feel as if they’ve got to compete with some other group to get scraps from a shrinking pot. If the economy is growing, everybody feels invested.” (emphasis added)

Basically, in spite of the undeniable fact that Obama’s programs (like Obamacare) are destroying America’s economy, he has the gall to say that if Congress doesn’t do what he wants done, then not only will unemployment continue to rise, but race relations will worsen.

Yet, he and other Democrats are totally behind immigration “reform” that will do nothing but hurt those people already having a tough time getting or keeping jobs because of the economy that Obama has done nothing to help. The sad fact is that people hear his speeches and applaud them, fully believing what he says. There is a huge disconnect between Obama’s reality and the actual reality that is affecting millions of Americans daily. People need to start reading into the plans behind the North American Union. Mr. Obama’s plan appears to be decimating America’s economy. If that’s the case, then he’s doing a perfectly wonderful job.

He just took a vacation to Africa that cost taxpayers over $100 million. He’s planning another one to Martha’s Vineyard that will cost millions more. How many vacations does this man need? Meanwhile, we’ve got sequestration that is affecting millions of people and the economy is killing businesses left and right and many jobs with it. People are suffering. Not him. Not his family. He treats himself like a king on the taxpayer’s dime and punishes the average citizen when Congress doesn’t comply with his demands.

The most troubling part of what Obama says though is how the worsening of our economy may affect race relations negatively. He is simply planting seeds of discontent. He is giving minorities a reason to go on the warpath if Obama doesn’t get what he wants. He is, in a very real way, telling minorities to take note of what happens and if his agenda is not rolled out, then they should take their frustrations out on whites. That is the implication and this is not what a president – who is supposed to represent all people – do. This type of rhetoric is despicable, yet this is what Obama does. Many blacks have asked things like, “what do you mean, Obama has made race relations worse? He’s telling it like it is!” and that is what they firmly believe.

I know plenty of white people who are working two to three jobs just to try to make ends meet. Some have no job at all and have been out of work too long. Where is the help for them? What about all of the things Obama has asked for and received from Congress and yet it’s clear that we are not one step closer to a better economy. In fact, our economy continues to worsen on a weekly, if not daily, basis.

Obamacare, if it doesn’t cave in on itself, is going to be the most costly program that our government ever created. We already know that the promises about paying less for insurance and being able to keep your own doctor are promises that will not come to pass. In some states, insurance premiums have risen or are slated to rise by up to %140. How is this creating better situations for the average American?

In the end, the truth is that Obama may be fighting a losing battle and knows it. He may realize that he stands a good chance of watching the Democrats lose seats in 2014. If so, he will not get what he wants. It won’t stop him though because he will likely continue to do whatever he wants to do and it appears as though no one in Congress knows how or is willing to take the necessary steps to stop him. It’s all talk, hearings, and more talk. He’s a rogue president. He does what the global elite tells him to do. They are his master(s) and he is their willing slave.

He doesn’t work for the American people. We only pay him and pay for his many vacations. He works for the global elite. He routinely sends millions and billions of American taxpayer dollars overseas for “projects” all the while, Americans here at home receive little to nothing. How is it that this administration can ignore Congress and continue to send that type of money overseas while Americans at home are without work and being hemmed in on every side? Meanwhile, Obama says that things may get worse.

Yes, things will get worse because he has no interest in doing anything that will help America’s economy. He seems hell bent on destroying it, while blaming others.

Tighten your seat belts folks, because the ride ahead appears to be very bumpy. Take stock of yourself and your family. Obama certainly isn’t and neither is Congress. Trouble is coming, encouraged by the man in the Oval Office.
