Top Socialists & Communists Would Be Proud Of Obama’s ‘Firsts’

Barack Hussein Obama has made many “firsts” for a man who has had no training in business. His list of “firsts” will be shown below with questions that must be answered but the Lame Stream Media has no intentions of asking the real questions nor do they have any one bold enough to write stories that belittle this man we have as an acting President! Why should they hold back commentary and question why Obama does not do as he is supposed to do as the President of the United States? It can be established that this media has been totally incompetent in their handling of the news. News has been created by a man holding the office of President, which has not been exposed, as it needs to be. This list of “firsts” show where Obama has gone and most are “firsts” that only Karl Marx, Leninn, and other top Socialists and Communists would be proud of.

Let us begin with the number one “first” on the list of many.

Obama is the first president to violate the “War Powers Act” as stated in the Huffington Post, “His offense here was when he, (Unilaterally Executing American Operations in Libya Without Informing Congress In The required Time Period!)”

How can this happen without any or very little action taken by Congress to ensure the proper use of Constitutional guidelines as set up by the very act to prevent the abuse of executive power as Obama had done here?

Now since this relates to the action taken to remove the leader of Libya, Gaddafi, and the recent terrorist attack killing four United States citizens can be directly linked to these actions or lack thereof by President Obama! The attack was in direct response and due to the actions taken by Obama when he first had military action taken against Libya forcing the removal of the man who held the terrorists at bay in his country. The actions taken by Obama through his abuse of power created a vacuum in that nation which led to the terrorists attack upon the United States Embassy in Libya on the anniversary of September 11, 2001. Now this is Obama’s 9/11 and it was the Obama Administration which deceived the nation by making a blatant cover up to hide the very real Fact that this was a terrorists attack!

Obama once again abused his power to send the wrong person out to all talk shows five days after the terrorist attack making very False statements that it was due to a video when in FACT the Obama Administration knew within 48 hours that it was indeed a terrorist attack. The ruler of Libya clearly and profoundly stated that it was a terrorist attack the day of the attack, eleven years to the day the World Trade Center buildings were dropped to the ground by the same type of terrorists. It has to be noted here that Obama did in fact not go to the intelligence meeting four days before and also the day after the attack, finding it much more beneficial to go to a fund raising event than to find out where the body of the Diplomat was. This is, or should be, clear dereliction of duty as president when our nation was once again under attack by terrorists. Yet, Obama found it much more important to go to Las Vegas to raise funds and talk to a crowd of people than it was to meet with the Intelligence Officers that had assessed the problem in Libya! This brings forth the question of why Obama did not stay in the White House to find out all he could about the terrorist attack upon our nation killing four U.S. citizens. Was this a huge problem for him, considering the fact that it was like the huge black eye we got on September 11, 2001? Did he throw out the story through the ambassador to the United Nations because the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton did not know anything about this because of her not being in the intelligence meeting on September 12, 2012? So many questions that need to be answered just on this one item that no one in the lame stream media has even considered! One question stands out more than the rest. Why, on September 11, 2012, was the security in Libya not more than it was, especially since the consulate, and those killed knew and asked for more security for the anniversary of the 9/11 attack upon our nation?

The next “first” to be done by any prior President is below according to the ACLU:

Obama is the first President to triple the number of warrantless Wiretaps of U.S. citizens.

Now here we must ask why do this? Only Obama and his minions could answer that question, but once again the lame stream media, at Obama’s beck and call, does not dig deep enough into this very vague and deceptive issue. It seems that this was done to maybe “prevent” terrorist attacks here in the U.S., but did it prevent the “Terrorists” attack on September 11, 2012? That answer is very clear and not at all ambiguous, NO!

The next “first” by Obama is one that becomes very frightening since it employs the very same tactic as was done by the German maniac, Adolph Hitler!

As shown in the Congressional Digest and the records of Congress, Obama signed into law a bill (National Defense Authorization Act – NDAA) that permits government to “Hold anyone suspected of being associated With terrorism indefinitely, without any form of due process. No indictment. No judge or jury. No evidence. No trial. Just an indefinite sentence.”

This “first” has not been questioned by any writer and may be because if they did, they would be picked up under the very law, which in some cases could be used to silence any threat to Obama himself in questioning what he has done. Now this is very problematic, since a Democratic Congress and President enacted this and it is in direct and sharp contrast to the very Constitution they were supposed to uphold. It is very clear that the Constitution Does not allow this type of “police” action to be taken and the Constitution itself states this in the 4th Amendment, the 5th Amendment and the 6th Amendment.

Amendment IV
“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall NOT be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
Amendment V
“No person shall be held to answer for a capitol or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb, nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law, nor shall private property be taken for public use without just compensation.”

Amendment VI
“In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trail, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed; which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witness against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defence.”

Barack Hussein Obama has announced that he was a Constitutional scholar, yet he signs a bill that cannot be used according to the Constitution as stated by the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendments! How could anyone even consider such a law when the Constitution states the opposite? Of course, some will make the statement that this should also apply to those kept in Guantanamo, but those people were caught in acts of war and they are not U.S. citizens so the Constitution does not apply to them or to their trials. It is because of Obama’s lack of knowledge of the Constitution that he declared this law to be legal. Yet the very Constitution he violated by signing this bill into law has accurately declared it null and void due to the conflict with the above Amendments. This should have been a glaring conflict with what Obama swore to uphold yet he found it to be what he wished, and in that, he did not worry about the very Constitution he took an oath to protect and defend. Obama has stated that:

“I have this thing called the Constitution that gets in the way of what I wish to do.”

Obama is the “first” President to have a sitting Attorney General held in Criminal Contempt of Congress. Tim Brown wrote,

The U. S. House of Representatives, after 18 months of investigation and stonewalling by the Obama Justice Department have voted 255-67 to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in criminal contempt of Congress. Holder becomes the first sitting attorney general to be held in contempt. Looks like the Obama administration has a first for everything.

Eric Holder has maintained the cover up of Operation Fast and Furious. This is an operation that is still being investigated, since Eric Holder and Barack Obama do not wish for the people of the United States to see what they were trying to do. Some have suggested that this operation was done with the idea to ban all guns because of them being used to commit crimes, but that is a speculation that cannot be confirmed due to Eric Holder not releasing records. Those yet unreleased documents may well prove that was the intent. Regardless, once again Obama has used his power of office to usurp the very branch of government which has the oversight to find out why this was done and why Obama through his administration had allowed such and operation to go on. They only stopped the operation when Border patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed by the very guns the government allowed to be sold to criminals in Mexico. Although nothing has been found that would link the weapons of “Fast and Furious” to the killing and wounding of Border Patrol Agents on October 3, 2012, it would not be a huge surprise to find out that the weapons used to kill and wound those agents are from the “Fast and Furious” operation.

These are but a portion of “firsts.” There are approximately 42 more that must and have to be looked at since most, if not all of them, are direct indications that Barack Obama has no respect for the Constitution or law. He has allegedly been a scholar in Constitutional law, but this begs another question since his college records are sealed from public view. Yet it is less than 35 days before an election that may well define the freedom of this nation and where the people wish to go, to a Socialistic/Communistic way of life or toward a re-affirmation of the Constitution and the freedom that is to be guaranteed under it. It is up to us to make this choice on November 6 and it will be the most critical vote this nation will ever have.

Honestly . . . What has Obama done for you, your children, your friends, your job, your employer, your community, and their futures? Please . . . think carefully about this.

Yes I know he has given phones to some people – and entitlements have increased substantially – but many of those on the dole would prefer to have a good job with fair pay. No one with an ounce of self-respect wants to be dependent on government “entitlements.” Most people have pride and want to contribute.

The facts are the government has done very little for the American people. We have been in a quasi-recession for over four years. Were it not for the independent Federal Reserve’s money creation, we would be in a depression rivaling the 1930s.

Obama has been totally ineffective in turning this situation around. He has tried to impose his de facto Marxist/Socialist/Quasi-Communist/Liberal-Leftist ideology on the economy and it has failed – as it always does. Marxism/Quasi-Communism by whatever name the Obama-Democrats call it – is an outmoded idea that has never worked wherever it’s been tried.

I am not making idle claims here. Since Obama became president, household income is down 8.2% ($4500). 12 million more Americans are on food stamps. In September, 83,000 more people signed up for Social Security Disability Benefits – bringing the total to 736,000 in this calendar year alone. The overall unemployment rate is over 8% for the 43nd month. The real unemployment rate (U6) is 15%. The teen jobless rate is 23.8%, and those between 18 to 29 are at 16.7%. The U.S. labor participation rate has declined to 63.7% and over 23 million workers are currently unemployed or underemployed. Health insurance has increased 18%. Gasoline prices have more than doubled. National Debt has increased from $10.6 trillion to $16.0 trillion. And the current and projected Gov’t Spending Deficit is over one trillion a year.

Needless-to-say, these are horrible numbers – not competitive with leading industrial countries – and indicate the U.S.A. is spiraling toward 3rd world levels – toward de facto insolvency.

So . . . what will President Obama do differently in a second term that he couldn’t do during his first two years when the Dems controlled both houses of Congress? And they still control 3 of the 4 branches of Gov’t. Obama clearly doesn’t know how to lead and solve the nation’s problems. Obama has had his chance and has clearly failed. It is time to give a proven performer a chance.

Selecting a president should be more than a popularity contest or support of a party affiliation! We are hiring a Chief Executive and Commander-in-Chief to manage and lead the largest enterprise in human history. We should hire a proven performer.

Romney/Ryan are the best of the best – a perfect combination – a proven CEO, leader, financial expert, and turnaround specialist – precisely what America needs today. Seeking the Moron Demographic

After reading a story from a gun toting, God loving, red-blooded American friend about eating out and having a conversation with the waiter about politics, I am convinced that those of us on the right are overlooking the biggest demographic out there: morons. Forget women, Hispanics, blacks, Catholics, college students and every other demographic category. The group that outnumbers them all by the millions is the moron demographic.

Moron: mo’ron n. An adult with the mental capacity of a child. [G. moros, foolish]

Could anything be a more fitting description of someone professing to vote for Obama and then, when pushed for a reason, having no explanation or basis for their logic or motive? Could any label be more appropriate than this for people who base their decision-making off of feelings derived from watching late-night comedians? They can list the cast of Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, or Jersey Shore, but couldn’t name the vice president of the United States. It’s Joe Biden at least for another few months. If you didn’t know that you might be a moron, here’s your sign.

My friend’s conversation with her waiter went something like this, “Are you a shooter?”

Waiter, “No, but my brother and my dad are big into hunting.”

Friend, “Just out of curiosity, do you know who you are going to vote for?”

Waiter, “Obama, same for my brother and dad.”

Friend, “Why?”

Waiter, “I dunno,” shrugging his shoulders.

Moron: An adult with the mental capacity of a child.

This demographic is not the same as the hard Left Liberals who know what Obama stands for and agree with what he is trying to do to this country. They know what they are voting for. The moron demographic has no idea why they would vote for him nor can they give one valid reason supported by fact, but back him anyway.

A book could be written about how America got to this point, but that doesn’t change the fact that we are here. We need to sway these morons or at least five to ten percent of them and we need to do it in the next two weeks.

The key is not to try and educate them out of moron status but rather focus on one or two main points. After all, they do have the mental capacity of a child. Think of talking to an eight year old when you engage them. The Left does this so well and the Right misses every time. Free gas, housing, and cell phones anyone?

My friend’s comeback was perfect. The truth is that she wanted to stick a fork in the guy’s eye because of his stupidity. We need to follow her lead and realize that we are dealing with morons and keep it simple and to the point.

Friend, “Do your dad and your brothers realize that President Obama would take their guns away and has said that he doesn’t think people should be allowed to own guns? Unless they want to hunt with sling shots, they should reconsider who they are voting for. I know you are busy working and I don’t want to keep you from your job. Here are three business cards for you, your dad, and your brother. I would love the opportunity to explain to them in more detail what this president plans to do if he gets the chance.”

It helped that my friend is owner/operator of a shooting instruction school giving her arguments validity on the subject.

We can wring our hands and lament about how we got to this point of living in a country where its mere survival hinges on the votes of morons but that will get us nowhere. What we need to do is take my friend’s lead and convince as many morons as possible not that they are morons, but why they should vote differently than they intend to.

Just remember the definition of moron and you’re on your way. Don’t get into deep discussions or try to use complicated arguments. It only confuses them. Use language and ideas as you would with an eight year old and you’re all set.

Now get out there and find some morons. The country is depending on you.

Obama’s Class Warfare

President, (and I must use that word just to describe what is otherwise an individual with a very socialistic/Communistic ideas.), Obama could not and cannot fix the economy and now he has come up with the help of the Demoncratic, sorry, Democratic Party, that will now use the fight against the rich to make an attempt to win the 2012 elections. Obama is going to back, and does back, the idea that people cannot go out and make millions and more like many people have done without first “giving” most of what they have “worked” for to those who do not wish to work! Some if not most of the of today’s’ protestors on Wall Street seem to be directly from the “New Black Panthers” rules. Rule 10 of the Black panthers states;

We want land, bread, housing, education, clothing, justice and peace. And as our major political objective, a United Nations-supervised plebiscite to be held throughout the Black colony in which only Black colonial subjects will be allowed to participate for the purpose of determining the will of Black people as to their national destiny.

Now eliminate the black parts in the rule and it is almost identical to what those protesting on Wall Street are saying. This is class warfare encouraged by the Democrat Party because they cannot find anything worthwhile to “throw” onto the people to show that the Democrats are the ones to trust!

If we are to listen to what the Democrats are yelling, we would be led to believe that they are 100% for the people that make the least amount of money, yet if you look at what the Democrat Party does, they yell we will help you throw a bill together and then say we will read it after we pass it. Then the people find out that the bill they threw together hurts the very people that they claim to be helping by causing those who do make an honest living to begin to hate those now in office.

At one time I was a strong Democrat until I opened my eyes and realized that the Democrats were not very much different from the Republicans. They go around and ask people with very deep pockets to give them money and later on once they are elected, they return favors to them through some very different ways so the favors are not seen as payback for their money to buy them their office! Look at Obama, he is a perfect example of how the Democrats work, on one hand he is condemning Wall Street then he goes to New York and has a $35,000 a plate dinner, now just how many people from Harlem or other minorities can afford $35,000 dinners with Obama?

Look at what he does and the people he has around him and you get an idea of how the Democrats work. His right hand lady, Valerie Jarret owned property that was supposed to have been for low income people, but it became so bad it had to be torn down mainly because she could not get the “grants” she wanted and allowed the places to fall apart throwing hundreds of people on the streets. Obama himself preaches that he will take from the rich and give to the poor, but he has not done that. Since he became a Senator he has had his wealth grow to millions and he has not “given” any of that money to any of the poor people!

Valerie Jarrett herself is a work of Socialist/Communist upbringing that few know of yet she is Obama’s right hand lady and advises him all the time, it has been rumored that Obama could have gotten Osama Bin Laden earlier, but Jarrett said “No!”

Valerie Jarrett’s mother, Barbara Taylor Bowman, co-founded the Erickson Institute in Chicago and still serves on its Board of Trustees. Tom Ayers, the father of Bill Ayers, was a one-time fellow trustee of the Institute. According to WorldNet Daily’s Brad O’Leary, the Erickson board also included Bill Ayers’ wife, Bernadine Dohrn. For his part, Bill Ayers called Bowman “a neighbor and friend” in his 1997 book A Kind and Just Parent, noting that his neighbors also included Louis Farrakhan and “writer Barack Obama.”

Jarrett earned a B.A. in psychology from Stanford University in 1978, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School in 1981. In 1983 she married Dr. William Robert Jarrett, son of the Chicago Sun-Times reporter Vernon Jarrett. Vernon Jarrett was a pioneering black journalist who wrote columns for The Chicago Defender extolling Communist poet Langston Hughes and lifelong Stalinists W.E.B. DuBois and Paul Robeson. He freelanced at Kansas City’s The Call from 1954-58, then returned to Chicago to become the first nationally syndicated black columnist for the Chicago Tribune, and still later wrote for the Chicago Sun-Times. Mr. Jarrett once sat on a union publicity committee with Frank Marshall Davis, the Communist poet who occasionally counseled the young Barack Obama. When Vernon Jarrett died in 2004, he was saluted in the pages of People’s Weekly Worker, the house organ of the Communist Party USA.

Ask Obama if he has or will give the proceeds of one of his best selling books to the poor people of Chicago and see if he changes the subject or just ignores you if you could ever be able to ask him that. One would have to ask Obama why he does not send a penny to his half brother, George Obama who lives in a tin shed in Kenya and the room he has is smaller than some peoples bathroom! You could also ask him just how or rather why he allowed Valarie Jarret to go ahead and give the 500+ million dollars to the solar panel company, even after all those connected to the loan process said it was a very bad deal. But once again, his friend Valerie Jarret said no give Solyndra the money they are good for it and Obama said do it. Of course that will never come out because the closest any one would get to showing a conspiracy, contempt, or whatever, would be just to bring the question up then Obama’s hinch man, Cass Sunstein will make sure the issue dies off after making a few calls or sending some info out about the very people that could bring Obama’s corruption to light!

The entire bunch in Washington, D.C. need to be replaced, but the people of the United States are not worried, most feel it does not hurt them or if they make noise they will be harassed or worse. The people have become the slaves that the Socialists and Communists have wanted all along and if they do not wake up, the use of class warfare will destroy this nation. Those who suffer the most during class warfare are the people in the middle because they lose their jobs and their security. Look at Cuba, Venezuela, China, the classes are split, they have the poor and the elite, nothing in between, or if they have them, those people have to be silent and do what the elite tell them what to do. Look around before you allow the class warfare, sure it is not right what is going on, but Obama himself has enhanced the problem and now Obama and the Democratic Party have no other recourse than to declare open class warfare so they can blame all those losing their jobs on the rich, even though the Jobs Czar, a very good friend of Obama, Jeffery Immelt, the CEO of General Electric, and GE Banking, has sent over 35,000 United States workers home while sending their jobs to China, all while he sits on the economical board for Obama and is the Jobs Czar of which Obama has not met with in over 6 months! Now how is that for corruption!

Here in General Electric we can see the idea of the Democrat Party running wild, on one hand they are screaming much like Obama, we have to make the rich pay, yet Jeffery Immelt, a very rich man holds the honor of being the Jobs Czar! This would be like placing a Fox in the hen house and expecting all the hens to be okay in the morning!

Ex-Muslim: Islam 'scares the hell out of me'

'My culture of origin is infecting America with fear of speaking the truth'

Islamic countries indoctrinate children with hatred toward Israel and teach them Israel has no historic claim to the land or the city of Jerusalem, Nonie Darwish, founder of Arabs for Israel, told WND’s Greg Corombos.

Darwish shared her story of being born into a Muslim family in Egypt and being raised to hate Israel.

“It is the total annihilation of Israel and the Jews,” she said. “This is what the center of the educational system in the whole Arab world is. We were taught Jerusalem is a Muslim city; Jews had nothing to do with it, and we have to liberate it. … There’s no acknowledgement that Jerusalem has any roots in Judaism or Christianity. There’s total denial of history.”

Darwish said she only learned the truth after she came to America, because the Muslim world often filters and censors information.

“I actually worked in censorship when I was a journalist in the Middle East,” she explained. “Information is totally filtered, and the propaganda, at the same time, is daily, very intense. Islam lives on propaganda and denies the truth.”

She said any person who challenges the Muslim version of the truth is “immediately regarded as a traitor, and riots happen and this person’s life is threatened.”

Darwish warned, “This is now coming to the West, this fear that I used to live in in the Muslim world – which was fear of speaking my mind, fear of saying the truth – is now following me to America. … My culture of origin is now infecting America with fear of speaking the truth.

She continued, “Unfortunately, we have an administration now that is allowing this to happen and finding excuses for it. And that scares the hell out of me.”

Darwish said she wants to see Arabs and Israelis living side by side in peace, but that cannot happen as long as “the number one enemy of Islam is the truth.” She explained that Muslims have failed to deal with reality for the past 1,400 years and have irrationally loathed the Jewish people since they rejected Muhammad in the seventh century.

Darwish said President Obama’s Middle East policy is a failure and it’s been proven by the events of the past three weeks.

She said it’s unthinkable that America’s consulate in Benghazi did not have enough security and that the Obama administration took 10 days to admit Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others were killed in a terrorist attack.

Obama called the murders a “bump in the road,” and Darwish wants to know, “A bump in the road to what? The road to what?”

She added, “The road in the Middle East is turning into hell. What road is he talking about?

“The Muslim Brotherhood already took over. Radical Islam and Shariah are being entrenched in the whole Middle East. The radical Islamist groups are ruling countries there now. They’re now ganging up to destroy Israel. They’re about to have nuclear weapons. We are in grave danger, and President Obama is talking about what? He’s talking about a road to destruction. … He thinks there is a road that will bring peace? What is he talking about?”
Darwish slammed what she considers Obama’s habit of apologizing to Muslims and said it’s unclear why America should be apologizing.

“We are giving them the impression that we are very weak, and we want to appease them,” she said. “We’re acting out of guilt for what?! We lost 3,000 citizens on 9/11, and we’re apologizing for what?”

She said Obama’s United Nations speech scared her – especially his statement that “the future does not belong to those who slander of the prophet of Islam.” Darwish said no religion should be above criticism, and Obama’s language reminds her of the repression inside her native Egypt.  She also said the lack of media scrutiny for Obama policies reminds her of how the governments often control the media in the Middle East.

Finally, Darwish said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is a “brave man” in his defiance toward the Iranian nuclear program, but she questioned whether Israel can successfully stop the program without any help from the United States.  She said it may already be too late to prevent a nuclear Iran.

Obama adviser admits: 'We need death panels'

Makes shocking admission about Obamacare, advocates rationing for elderly

A top Democrat strategist and donor who served as President Obama’s lead auto-industry adviser recently conceded that the rationing of heath services under Obamacare is “inevitable.”

Steven Rattner advocated that such rationing should target elderly patients, while stating, “We need death panels.”

Rattner serves on the board the New America Foundation, or NAF, a George Soros-funded think tank that was instrumental in supporting Obamacare in 2010. Soros’ son, financier Jonathan Soros, is also a member of the foundation’s board.

Rattner was the so-called “car czar,” the lead auto adviser to the Treasury Department under Obama.

Last month, Rattner penned an opinion piece in the New York Times titled “Beyond Obamacare” in which he proclaimed “We need death panels” and argued rationing must be instructed to sustain Obama’s health-care plan. His comments have been virtually ignored by traditional media as the president campaign’s for a second term.

“We need death panels,” began Rattner. “Well, maybe not death panels, exactly, but unless we start allocating health-care resources more prudently – rationing, by its proper name – the exploding cost of Medicare will swamp the federal budget.”

Continued Rattner: “But in the pantheon of toxic issues – the famous ‘third rail’ of American politics – none stands taller than overtly acknowledging that elderly Americans are not entitled to every conceivable medical procedure or pharmaceutical.”

Rattner lamented how Obama’s Affordable Care Act “regrettably includes severe restrictions on any reduction in Medicare services or increase in fees to beneficiaries.”

Rattner said the numbers don’t add up unless Obamacare utilizes rationing.

“If his Independent Payment Advisory Board comes up with savings, Congress must accept either them or vote for an equivalent package,” stated Rattner. “The problem is, the advisory board can’t propose reducing benefits (a k a rationing) or raising fees (another form of rationing), without which the spending target looms impossibly large.”

Rattner singled out elderly patients for benefit cuts.

He wrote: “No one wants to lose an aging parent. And with price out of the equation, it’s natural for patients and their families to try every treatment, regardless of expense or efficacy. But that imposes an enormous societal cost that few other nations have been willing to bear. Many countries whose health care systems are regularly extolled – including Canada, Australia and New Zealand – have systems for rationing care.”

He concluded, “At the least, the Independent Payment Advisory Board should be allowed to offer changes in services and costs.”

“We may shrink from such stomach-wrenching choices, but they are inescapable.”

Rattner serves on the NAF’s 22-person board of directors alongside Jonathan Soros, CNN’s Fareed Zakaria and Google’s Eric Schmidt.

Soros’ Open Society Foundation is a primary donor to the NAF.

Other major donors include the Ben & Jerry’s Foundation, the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the Ford Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Google Inc. and the Rockefeller Foundation.

Another donor is Free Press, a group that advocates for more government control of the airwaves and Internet.

Free Press is also funded by Soros. Free Press was founded by Robert W. McChesney, an avowed Marxist who has recommended capitalism be dismantled “brick by brick.”

The NAF, meanwhile, bills itself as bipartisan and “the radical center.”

NAF fellow Michael Lind wrote, “Our goal [is] not to repeal the New Deal [of Franklin Roosevelt] but to adapt it to the circumstances of the 21st century.”

Discover The Networks notes how the NAF approved of Obamacare because it would “offer a new image” of how Americans view dying; and it would help “patients and their families to recognize” that, “[S]ometimes ‘doing everything’ results in more burden than benefit. High-tech medicine can prolong life, but for some patients, it merely draws out the process of dying.”

Explaining the Fight for America's Exceptional Life to Bowling Buddies

We not only must win this thing, we can. Maybe we are. Hard to know while we’re being bludgeoned with polls projecting Democrat turnout levels equal to 2008 Obama euphoria.

Complicating things is the sour commentary of some who lament the challenger isn’t a miraculous fusion of Ron Paul’s Constitutional passion, Newt Gingrich’s creativity and skill at skewering the media, Rick Santorum’s unflinching stands on social issues, and Gary Johnson’s happy creed of liberty over all. As if such a Frankenborg exists.

America has a choice with historic and immediate consequences. The constitutional future of earth’s exceptional nation is on the line, but also important stuff like jobs, opportunity, and more chances for 20-somethings to move out of mom and dad’s place in this lifetime.

It’s late in an epic battle between transformers and restorers. Transformers want to expand government control over society in ways that are common and uncontroversial in most the world. Restorers want to revive, nurture, and enjoy the fruits of things that made America exceptional for most its history.

The transformers have been winning for a long time. But they’ve never been so open and aggressive about their goals, or closer to achieving them. The stakes are high.

Will government protect individual rights necessary for freedom and the pursuit of happiness? Or, will government define “general welfare” and impose the conditions required for government’s vision? As von Hayek taught, the state can’t shape the big picture without controlling people’s choices in the little picture.

Beneath the airy philosophy hang Constitutional principles. Will America remain a federalist land of self government, with recognized limits on central power? Will government stay contained and honest because of separation of powers? That is, by careful division of the power to make policy, to enforce policy, and to independently judge disputes between the people and the rulers?

Will government respect critical personal liberties that sustain prosperity, including property, contract, due process, and the right to consistency and evenhanded governance?

Beneath the Constitutional principles are urgent consequences that affect our prospects and our children’s. History teaches--and the field lab of the last four years confirms--freedom prospers better than control.

The pursuit of happiness—observing supply and demand, respecting production and innovation--this philosophy produces more food, clothing, shelter, jobs and opportunity than any system ever devised by man.

But voters who are undecided by now likely won’t be wowed by such talk. These folks aren’t sure what they think, but they want results. If I were talking to an unpolitical friend, I’d make points like these:

America’s finances are collapsing; national government is out of control. Spiraling debt, unprotected embassies, lawless, homicidal gun stings in Mexico, cash piñatas for donors dangled by Departments. It’s an epic embarrassment. If one man has the background and skills to oversee a turnaround, it’s Mitt Romney.

Come to think, I might try the same tack with my frustrated ideological friends: it’ll take more than knowing the Federalist Papers to ease the budget crisis and avert the entitlement crash. Team Romney Ryan may be the best prepared ticket in history for the crucible we face.

Back to my skeptical friend… Romney wants to unleash America’s economy like Reagan did, by low taxes and reasonable regulations. He doesn’t have to guess what the next big thing is, betting billions of tax dollars on boondoggles like Solyndra or the Chevy Volt. He doesn’t believe regulators know what’s needed; free people trying to serve consumers will find it better. And we won’t have to fund big payoffs for cronies.

Romney wants more affordable energy. There’s a bonanza here at home. Recent production and discoveries make us the Saudi Arabia of gas and oil.

But you wouldn’t know it. Gasoline costs more. Electricity too. Utilities are way up. That’s how Obama wants it. He said before he ran he’d bankrupt coal companies and make electricity more expensive. He chose an Energy Secretary who said our gas should cost about triple, like Europe.

That’s what extremists want, not believers in American society. Romney knows families and companies depend on abundant energy. He won’t block production and energy independence; he’ll fight for them.

Romney believes the American dream comes from America’s heritage. We don’t need more redistribution; we need more production. The private sector creates wealth; government doesn’t.

Romney believes Congress and the president both have to agree on things in order to make them law. The president can’t just make it up and impose what he wants.

Basically, Romney believes you can run your life better than he can. He doesn’t want to control your diet, choose your energy, decide what kind of car you drive, or what companies or industries should succeed.

If you start a business, he’ll applaud your success. If you don’t start a business, he’ll help build the kind of country where more of us can.

That’s more jobs and opportunity for all of us.
