The Clinton’s reign of terror lasted 8 years in America, but the impact of his decisions will last a lifetime in this country.

Economic policy, the implication of NAFTA & GATT, and a public affair that shook the nation are just some of the events people associate him with. As most of you know “The Clinton Chronicles” has been floating around the web for a few decades.  This grainy, over-dubbed documentary debuted in 1994 on a limited VHS run and ended up selling approximately 300,000 copies making it a cult classic in the conspiracy world.

Accusations of drug running, money laundering, murder and womanizing were brought to the forefront in this gutsy, tell all documentary. Going hand in hand with the documentary is the ‘Clinton kill list’ another urban legend that according to the almighty Snopes is false.  Snopes, the most reliable place on the web (sarcasm) believes “Clinton hasn’t been quietly doing away with people who oppose him ” making the Clinton Body Count FALSE and me just another conspiracy theorist.

Below is a comprehensive list of  mysterious deaths connected to the Clinton’s that have grave implications.

1 – James McDougal – Clinton’s convicted Whitewater partner died of an apparent heart attack, while in solitary confinement. He was a key witness in Ken Starr’s investigation.

2 – Mary Mahoney – A former White House intern was murdered July 1997 at a Starbucks Coffee Shop in Georgetown. The murder happened just after she was to go public with her story of sexual harassment in the White House.

3 – Vince Foster – Former white House councilor, and colleague of Hillary Clinton at Little Rock’s Rose Law firm. Died of a gunshot wound to the head, ruled a suicide.

4 – Ron Brown – Secretary of Commerce and former DNC Chairman. Reported to have died by impact in a plane crash. A pathologist close to the investigation reported that there was a hole in the top of Brown’s skull resembling a gunshot wound. At the time of his death Brown was being investigated, and spoke publicly of his willingness to cut a deal with prosecutors.

5 – C. Victor Raiser II and Montgomery Raiser, Major players in the Clinton fund raising organization died in a private plane crash in July 1992.

6 – Paul Tulley – Democratic National Committee Political Director found dead in a hotel room in Little Rock, September 1992… Described by Clinton as a “Dear friend and trusted advisor.”

7- Ed Willey – Clinton fund raiser, found dead November 1993 deep in the woods in VA of a gunshot wound to the head. Ruled a suicide. Ed Willey died on the same day his wife Kathleen Willey claimed Bill Clinton groped her in the oval office in the White House. Ed Willey was involved in several Clinton fund raising events.

8 – Jerry Parks – Head of Clinton’s gubernatorial security team in Little Rock. Gunned down in his car at a deserted intersection outside Little Rock. Park’s son said his father was building a dossier on Clinton. He allegedly threatened to reveal this information. After he died the files were mysteriously removed from his house.

9 – James Bunch – Died from a gunshot suicide. It was reported that he had a “Black Book” of people which contained names of influential people who visited prostitutes in Texas and Arkansas.

10 – James Wilson – Was found dead in May 1993 from an apparent hanging suicide. He was reported to have ties to Whitewater.

11- Kathy Ferguson, ex-wife of Arkansas Trooper Danny Ferguson, was found dead in May 1994, in her living room with a gunshot to her head. It was ruled a suicide even though there were several packed suitcases, as if she were going somewhere. Danny Ferguson was a co-defendant along with Bill Clinton in the Paula Jones lawsuit. Kathy Ferguson was a possible corroborating witness for Paula Jones.

12 – Bill Shelton – Arkansas State Trooper and fiancee of Kathy Ferguson. Critical of the suicide ruling of his fiancee, he was found dead in June, 1994 of a gunshot wound also ruled a suicide at the grave site of his fiancee.

13 – Gandy Baugh – Attorney for Clinton’s friend Dan Lassater, died by jumping out a window of a tall building January, 1994. His client was a convicted drug distributor.

14 – Florence Martin – Accountant & sub-contractor for the CIA, was related to the Barry Seal Mena Airport drug smuggling case. He died of three gunshot wounds.

15 – Suzanne Coleman – Reportedly had an affair with Clinton when he was Arkansas Attorney General. Died of a gunshot wound to the back of the head, ruled a suicide. Was pregnant at the time of her death.

16 – Paula Grober – Clinton’s speech interpreter for the deaf from 1978 until her death December 9, 1992. She died in a one car accident.

17 – Danny Casolaro – Investigative reporter. Investigating Mena Airport and Arkansas Development Finance Authority. He slit his wrists, apparently, in the middle of his investigation.

18 – Paul Wilcher – Attorney investigating corruption at Mena Airport with Casolaro and the 1980 “October Surprise” was found dead on a toilet June 22, 1993 in his Washington DC apartment. Had delivered a report to Janet Reno three weeks before his death

19 – Jon Parnell Walker – Whitewater investigator for Resolution Trust Corp. Jumped to his death from his Arlington, Virginia apartment balcony August15, 1993. He was investigating the Morgan Guarantee scandal.

20 – Barbara Wise – Commerce Department staffer. Worked closely with Ron Brown and John Huang. Cause of death unknown. Died November 29, 1996. Her bruised, nude body was found locked in her office at the Department of Commerce.

21- Charles Meissner – Assistant Secretary of Commerce who gave John Huang special security clearance, died shortly thereafter in a small plane crash.

22 – Dr. Stanley Heard – Chairman of the National Chiropractic Health Care Advisory Committee, died with his attorney Steve Dickson in a small plane crash. Dr. Heard, in addition to serving on Clinton’s advisory council personally treated Clinton’s mother, stepfather and brother.

23 – Barry Seal – Drug running pilot out of Mena, Arkansas, death was no accident.

24 – Johnny Lawhorn Jr. – Mechanic, found a check made out to Bill Clinton in the trunk of a car left at his repair shop. He was found dead after his car had hit a utility pole.

25 – Stanley Huggins – Investigated Madison Guarantee. His death was a purported suicide and his report was never released.

26- Hershell Friday – Attorney and Clinton fund raiser died March 1, 1994 when his plane exploded.

27 – Kevin Ives and Don Henry – Known as “The boys on the track” case. Reports say the boys may have stumbled upon the Mena Arkansas airport drug operation. A controversial case, the initial report of death said, due to falling asleep on railroad tracks. Later reports claim the two boys had been slain before being placed on the tracks. Many linked to the case died before their testimony could come before a Grand Jury.

28 – Keith Coney – Died when his motorcycle slammed into the back of a truck, July 1988.

29 – Keith McMaskle – Died stabbed 113 times, Nov, 1988

31 – Jeff Rhodes – He was shot, mutilated and found burned in a trash dump in April 1989.

33 – James Milan – Found decapitated. However, the Coroner ruled his death was due to “natural causes.”

35 – Richard Winters – A suspect in the Ives / Henry deaths. He was killed in a set-up robbery July 1989.

A New Poll Shows That a Majority of Americans Believe Democrats Only Stand for Resisting Trump

The media is relentless in publicizing the negative approval ratings that Donald Trump has been receiving, which are largely due to his personality, not policies. But what about the media’s own approval? Based on a poll conducted with around 2,000 adults by Morning Consult, a larger percentage of Americans trust Donald Trump’s White House as a news source than the mainstream media.

That aside, it’s not just the media that the public has a negative view of. Given that the Democratic Party lost 1,042 seats at the state and federal levels of government during Obama’s tenure, and lost every single special election in the Trump Era, clearly they have an image problem too. In just a few years they want from presenting themselves as the party of the working class to catering to the delusions of college social justice warriors. Democrats alienated their base, and are paying the price for it.

In the Trump Era, the strategy thus far has been to rally troops around the mantra of being the “resistance,” to Trump. Unfortunately for them, “resisting” the man who won the election hasn’t been an effective strategy. That tactic has been leading people to view Democrats as simply the “anti-Trump” party, not a party with any ideas of their own.

According to a new poll by The Washington Post and ABC, over half of Americans believe the current Democratic Party doesn’t stand for anything besides resisting President Trump.

The poll asked 1,001 Americans, “Do you think the Democratic Party currently stands for something, or just stands against Trump?”

Only 37 percent of respondents believed that the Democratic Party “stands for something,” while 52 percent of respondents said the party “just stands against Trump.”

The apparent messaging problem was even starker among registered voters, of which only 35 percent felt the Democrats stand for something while 54 percent felt they only stand against Trump.

Serves them right. Democrats know they can’t oppose Trump on specific policy issues like immigration and healthcare, because most Americans do believe in strong borders, and have been harmed by ObamaCare. That’s why it’s Democrats in Congress acting like chicken little, screaming “racist” at anyone who wants to enforce our immigration laws, and making the erroneous claim that “people will die” without ObamaCare.

It isn’t working – and for our sake, I hope the Democrats keep the scaremongering up. The more they do, the better chance President Trump has of winning in 2020.

From Venice to Bohemia to London. The Royal House of Europe That Ruthlessly Eliminate All That Dare to Stand In Their Way

On April 27th 1961, John F. Kennedy gave a speech to the American Newspaper Publishers Association in the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, New York where he conveyed his heart felt desire to wage a war against secret societies. Two and a half years later he was dead at the age of 46. The courage to break from his heritage and fight for truth cost one of America's greatest ever presidents. Research over the last several decades clearly show foul play over his assassination in relation to major decisions he was making as a president which was opposite to the aims and ambitions of the global elite.

Who were the secret societies that Kennedy was referring to? The mainstream media will tell you it was the Soviet Union. However would the mainstream media ever admit to the fact that Kennedy was referring to something more dangerous and and sinister than communism? especially when the media overlords are controlled by a network of powerful families known as the Black Nobility.

Who are the Black Nobility?

The Black Nobility is the term used to describe a family lineage that predates even the Illuminati, the Jesuits and other secret orders that many conspiracy writers make reference to. They came to prominence in Venice around the 9th century  and became known for their use of dirty tactics to accomplish what they wanted. Murder fraud, rape, genocide, terrorism...just about anything possible to protect their wealth and keep the common man where they believed he ought to be.....financial slavery.

When the black nobility eventually transcended further through strategic alliances with the Illuminati and freemasonry during the 1700s it was the worst nightmare for the developing world. An unholy trinity that would use the earths population at their disposal to protect their interests.

The black nobility were students of the Greek Philosopher Aristotle who believed that slavery was a necessary institution, because some are born to rule and others to be ruled. The idea that certain families were born to rule as an arbitrary elite, while the vast majority of any given population is condemned to oppression, serfdom, or slavery became the theological position of this elite.

The black nobility became so powerful that even the Roman Catholic Church which ruled much of Europe became fearful of them with several botched attempts to conquer them. The irony of the matter is that when the Papacy's iron rule came to an end in 1870 it was the Black Nobility who were there to act as the comrades of the Pope in helping to negotiate the terms of the Vatican's future existence under Benito Mussolini.

The Black Nobility were so powerful that even Daniel Estulin, one of the worlds leading researchers on the Bilderbergers, was forced to admit that the likes of Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Roman Abramovich and even the Rothschild's and the Rockefellers are small change. The Black Nobility were not just Billionaires but Trillionaires.

Estulin stated,

"Again another thing about the Bilderbergers is that I can trace who these people are today back to the Venetian Black Nobility. We often hear about the influences of the Rothschilds and the Rockefellers, but these people are merely your typical lackeys when you actually look at it. They are the bottom of the totem pole. If you’re looking at the powerful people, you can talk about the House of Braganza; you talk about the House of Orange and the House of Hapsburg. These people have unimaginable wealth. You measure it not in billions but in trillions of dollars. I have a document from the Krupp family of Germany. One banking statement, just one account on one day, and there’s a 112 trillion dollars on that account. That’s the kind of money that the Bill Gates of this world… well, they’re not even lackeys. They are nothing, because again what they have is just pocket change for these people."

The black nobility were so wealthy that they were also responsible for offering notorious loans to various dignitaries across Europe. For instance King Henry III went bankrupt after the inability to pay back the Black Nobility enormous loans charged at 180% interest. 

Examples of the old black nobility families who believe they have a divine right to rule include the Giustiniani family who trace their lineage to the Emperor Justianian, the Hambros family, the Luzzatos, the Doria's, the Bonacassi's, the Alba's, the Guelphs  and many more. However  in the 18th and 19th centuries a significant set of events transpired. 

Not content to just be in control of Venice and Genoa, these aristocrats decided that, in order to gain wider control, it would be necessary to expand into Europe and “go into business” with the non-aristocratic but extremely powerful leaders of corporate business that were taking advantage of the industrial revolution.

And so there was a commercial marriage that took place between the old black nobility families of Venice and Genoa and the emerging Anglo-American corporate juggernauts. These Anglo American power houses included The Warburgs, Rothschild's, the Rockefellers, Goldmans, Morgans, Sachs, Lehmans, Schroder, Bush and a few others more. Family dynasties known as the bloodlines of the Illuminati. The marriage of the Black Nobility and the Illuminati had been accomplished. 

When the Illuminati then merged with Freemasonry in the 1782 congress of Wilhelmsbad, the evil trinity had finally been accomplished. The black nobility, the Illuminati and freemasonry had become a unified homogenous elitist platform. This is why today, references to the black nobility, the illuminati and freemasonry are seen as the same because they are a unified global elite family.

This partnership was facilitated by series of major and significant events which had taken place prior, such as the Black Nobility being responsible for funding the creation of the Bank of Amsterdam in 1609 and the Bank of England in 1694 which these Anglo American power houses then used as a means to build their wealth and tie in nation after nation over the next several hundred years.

Today, fronted by the powerful family banking dynasties of Europe, the Black Nobility exercise supremacy over the world’s governments, as well as their economies, and even their cultures. Ultimately, they are an international network, existing in a parallel world, straddled between fronts of legitimacy, and activities on the black market and in the underground.

Their method of conquest is to wholly demoralize the societies of the world, wrecking their very fabric, by promoting every vice, including sexual depravity, greed and war. By enslaving the nations of the world through colossal debt, they ensure subservience, and guarantee the slow transfer of their sovereignty to global government. By encouraging stock market speculation, they siphon off the wealth of the ignorant masses. In the end, by creating a global economic cataclysm of untold magnitude, they intend to demonstrate to humanity their own ineptitude, and offer their reign as salvation, by implementing a global fascist state, to be governed by their expected messiah.

One of the most profound characteristics of the black nobility is their ongoing need to remove any individual that represents a threat to their interests. History is littered with example after example of men and women who were murdered in cold blood as a result of making one step too far.

The Black Nobility used covert operations to eliminate people who were considered to be too influential enough to possibly throw a spanner in the works of the one world government agenda. It is for this reason why the term Black Nobility came about, in reference to the extreme lengths that these family networks would go to put down those that posed a serious potential threat to their agenda for national political and economical agendas.

It is important to note that the European Black Nobility is responsible for the insidious entanglements of numerous secret societies, lodges, and organizations, which are backed with high finance and powerful political connections. Such organizations include: Trilateral Commission, Bilderberg Group, Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), United Nations (founded by CFR), Illuminati order Skull & Bones (inner circle of the CFR), International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank, Bank of International Settlement, Club of Rome, Chatham House (formally the Royal Institute of International Affairs - RIIA), Round Table, Tavistock Institute for Human Studies (England's psychological warfare think tank), Associated Press, Reuters (Rothschild owned news monopoly), and many others, all of which, work in favor of their one world government agenda.

In 1910, seven men met on Jekyll island just off the coast of Georgia to plan the Federal Reserve Bank. Nelson Aldrich and Frank Vanderclip represented the Rockefeller (Illuminati) financial empire. Henry Davidson, Charles Norton and Benjamin Strong represented J.P. Morgan (Illuminati). Paul Warburg (Illuminati) represented the Rothschilds (Illuminati) Banking dynasty of Europe. According to theorists, the plan for the Federal Reserve was set in motion, but experienced some opposition to its creation. Three of the richest people in the world opposed the Federal Reserve in the United States because they knew the repercussions of a private institution dictating the monetary trends within the country. These people were Benjamin Guggenheim, Isa Strauss, and Jacob Astor; all of which were aboard the Titanic when it sank.

Deprived of any moral restraint, the black nobility fund their covert activities by dominating the world of illegal arms dealing, narcotics trafficking, and prostitution. Their activities are intertwined with those of the world’s leading intelligence services, including the CIA, Mossad, and Britain’s MI6, as well as international crime syndicates, like the Mafia and the Asian Triads, and the Yakuza of Japan. Adopting any disguise to suit their collective objectives, they work hand in hand with the Freemasons and numerous other secret societies.

David Kelly was a husband, a father and one of the world's foremost experts on nuclear, chemical and biological weapons. He advised the British government on the matter, particularly in connection with Saddam Hussein's Iraq. He was also one of the main sources for a claim by Andrew Gilligan, then a BBC reporter, that Tony Blair's government had rewritten publicly-released intelligence to make it "sexier", in the hope of justifying the Anglo-American invasion of Iraq in March 2003. After Gilligan made his claim, Kelly was quickly identified as the source of the leak. A few days after a stressful appearance before a Parliamentary committee investigating Mr. Gilligan's allegations, he was found dead in the woods near his Oxfordshire home on July 17th 2003. By then the war was already over with a massive presence of American and British forces in the Middle East and Saddam Hussein on the run. Retribution for the ill fated September 11th, 2001 attack on the twin towers in New York resulting in an Anglo-American occupation of the nerve centre of the worlds oil supply and protection of the interests of the global elite oligarchs.

The Illuminati was the name of a secret society, founded by Adam Weishaupt, in Germany, in 1776, with the goal of seeking world domination through subversive means. It’s existence is one of the few instances in history in which historians are willing to recognize the existence of the diabolical conspiracy, because the evidence is undeniable. 

The “Illuminati”, really, is merely a convenient term to refer to those individuals and secret organizations who continue to pursue the same goals in our time. The philosophy of this order’s existence began long before the eighteenth century. According to their own accounts though, the Illuminati represent the descendants of the Fallen Angels who inhabited the lost continent of Atlantis. These Fallen Angels interbred with humans, producing a supposedly superior race called “Aryans”, to whom they taught the Ancient Wisdom. Therefore, the Illuminati regard themselves as inheritors of a centuries- long tradition of preserving their occult knowledge, against the “tyranny” and “despotism” of “organized religion”.

Ultimately, they perceive it their duty to institute a world order, to impose their cult as a one-word-religion, and governed by one of their own. Thus, throughout the centuries, the Illuminati have been carefully intermarrying with one another, to preserve their “sacred” bloodline, to transmit their esoteric knowledge from generation to generation, and from which their messiah is to issue. For this reason, they also refer to themselves as “the Family”.

However over the last few decades the Illuminati has become common theme in our pop culture and media through movies such as The De Vinci Code and Angels of Demons. The true origin of the Black Nobility has been lost in the background and instead we have a world where most people have heard about the Illuminati and see it as a fun subject or something mainly associated with the music and entertainment industry. In a sense the word "illuminati" has been desensitized.

The Black Nobility global elite have been willing to kill and murder prominent people of influence in order to achieve their end goals. These assassinations, murders and suicides have for the most part, been covered or explained away with illogical reasoning and flimsy evidence, yet the truth remains that there is more involved than meets the eye.
 

Whether you wish to call them the black nobility, the illuminati or freemasons, there is a real body of shadowy people who control world affairs through their public puppets. They have no regard for human life and spare no thought for disposing of any that seek to complicate or alter the path in which this elite seek to follow.

14 Lessons for Stupid People

As I write this, the German town of Hamburg is in chaos as 100,000 anti-capitalists (otherwise known as “stupid people”) pour in to participate in a “Welcome to Hell” protest against the G20 summit. Police have responded to the violence with water cannons and pepper spray while Hamburg residents are suffering vandalism and arson to their homes, businesses and cars by the peaceful demonstrators. Beer appears to be a popular fuel for the rioters.

As with most protests of this nature, it’s a little vague what these people find objectionable, but a few themes have emerged. Demonstrators want open borders, more wealth distribution and an end to capitalism. According to the U.K.’s Daily Mail, “Protesters say the G20 has failed to solve many of the issues threatening world peace, including climate change, worsening inequality and violent conflicts” – thus accomplishing at the rally the very things they claim they’re against. (That’s why they’re known as “stupid people.”)

The arson, rioting and vandalism initiated by the protesters, doubtless to illustrate how peaceful and inclusive they are, as well as their violent opposition to violent conflicts, merely echoes similar protests that have taken place in many Western nations, especially America.

So, as a public service from a middle-aged rural housewife with no background in economics or politics, I’d like to offer lessons the older generations would like to teach stupid people.

• Capitalism isn’t your foe; it’s your friend. Wealth is produced by capitalism, which in turn fuels taxes that powers the nation. If you end capitalism, you end the incentive for people to become wealthy. Wealth disappears. If this is the kind of “equality” or “fairness” you desire, congrats on your room-temperature IQ.
•  Money doesn’t grow on trees. The social welfare net was never meant to be a multi-generational career opportunity. Younger people simply cannot grasp a time, for better or worse, where you didn’t eat if you didn’t work. Poverty is an amazing motivator, and the reason older people have the work ethic they do is because it was either work or go hungry. Many legal immigrants from Third World countries still understand this. They arrive, often with little more than a suitcase in hand, and spend the rest of their lives working two and three jobs to prosper in this land of opportunity. Watch and learn.
• The freedoms you take for granted were paid for in blood by millions. I know you think it’s cool and trendy to spit on graves, desecrate flags and pretend the sacrifices of earlier generations have nothing to do with you, but such actions only make you look even stupider.
• Multiple sexual partners doesn’t make you empowered; it makes you stupid. I realize many young people have not grown up with the blessings of an intact two-parent home (not their fault), but try to grasp this concept: Promiscuity leads to diseases, abortions, broken families and heartache. Committed monogamy does the opposite.
• There are evil people in the world who want to kill you. These people are not interested in talking about their feeeeelings; they simply want to eliminate you in creative and gruesome ways. Pretending this evil doesn’t exist just makes it grow bigger. It’s only because brave men and women make a stand against these evil people that your butts are safe enough to protest for open borders.
• Your current freedom to protest, be jerks, demand entitlements and other worthy pursuits are possible because of a handful of men over 200 years ago who put documents in place to ensure a posterity of freedom and governmental constraints in this nation. These men were flawed but brilliant. The fact that America still rocks on despite whittling away at these documents is proof of their legacy. Don’t think that you, with your obviously still-developing brains, know more than they did and can improve upon their work. You can’t.
• You might think atheism is trendy, but it’s not what this nation was built on. America was built on a Christian foundation and principles, which is why it has enjoyed the success it has. For those who like to quote the incendiary “America is not a Christian nation” verbiage from the Treaty of Tripoli, please read this column on the history and logic behind that treaty. Read that column from start to finish. Go on, I dare you.
• The world doesn’t revolve around your feeeeelings. Really, it doesn’t. You might feel like a different gender or a different species today, but no one cares. You might feel like the world should address you in a pronoun of choice, but we won’t do it because we prefer to speak proper English. Suck it up, buttercup.
• Higher education doesn’t make you smarter. Someone with a doctorate degree in Social Justice is way, way less smart than a plumber or welder or farmer, simply because the SJW has never operated in the Real World and has no idea how economics (much less common sense) works.
• Nobody owes you a thing. Millionaires don’t owe you their wealth. Farmers don’t owe you their food. Owners of apartment buildings don’t owe you a place to live. Car manufacturers don’t owe you a vehicle. Colleges don’t owe you an education. Fast-food employers don’t owe you a $15 minimum wage. Heck, unless you’re under 18, your parents don’t even owe you your current basement hangout. When you demand others give you things to which you feeeeel entitled, you’re in effect making slaves of them by forcing them to provide the fruits of their labor without a choice. That’s a stupid attitude.
• Along those lines, career goals should center on goods and services people want, not feeeeelings that have been sanctified by government bureaucrats into law. If you get hostility from older generations who resent being forced to cater to your whims, it’s because these older generations know a parasite when they see one.
• Rights do not cost anyone anything. If you think you have a “right” to (pick one) food / education / money / vehicle / housing / Internet / smartphone / employment, ask yourself whether that something will cost someone else time, labor, or money to provide it to you. If it does, it’s not a right.
• Whining does not make you a more attractive prospective employee. Nor does dressing inappropriately, cursing, piercing every orifice, lavishly tattooing yourself, or other personal expressions of your individuality. Yes, you are free to do all these things, but a business is free not to hire you as a result.
• Life isn’t fair. People are born with handicaps or suffer accidents or illness. The most admirable people are those who make lemonade out of their lemons. The worst thing the government can ever try to do is to make things “fair,” because in so doing, it will make things drastically more unfair for everyone else.

This list barely skims the surface of the advice older people would like to give to the younger generation. Of course, as the cliché goes, you can lead young people to wisdom but you can’t make them think.

Freedom and tyranny: the meaning of Independence Day

 The Fourth of July is not just another day off from work. Nor is it just the celebration of our country’s birth, the bold act of the colonists in challenging the world’s greatest power and creating a government based on freedom and self-rule. On this day 241 years ago the delegates to the Second Continental Congress adopted a document that laid the foundations of the American political order. Sadly, the meaning of the Declaration of Independence has been lost, and the order it created eroded by progressivism.

One of the greatest statements of political philosophy occurs in the preamble to the Declaration:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. ––That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed . . .

Government is a creation of the sovereign people who must consent to its forms and functions. It is thus accountable to the people, and exists primarily to protect their rights, especially freedom, that precede government. These rights are the “unalienable” foundations of our human nature, and come from a “Creator” and the “Laws of Nature and Nature’s God.” They are not gifts of the powerful or any institutions that an elite of wealth or birth create to serve their interests. They cannot justly be taken away by any earthly power, but they can be limited and destroyed by tyranny.

Central to these rights is freedom, which implies self-rule as well as the scope to pursue “happiness,” the actions and behaviors, the way of living that achieves a good and virtuous life suitable for a human being possessing reason and free will. To secure the freedom of the individual requires political liberty expressed through a government of laws and institutions that reflect the collective consent of the people, and whose agents are chosen by the citizens or their representatives, and thus are accountable to the people.

A little more than a decade later the Constitution formalized the structures of governing that would protect this ideal. Recognizing that human nature is flawed and subject to “passions and interests,” and fearful of power’s “encroaching nature,” the framers separated, checked, and balanced power through federalism and mixed government. James Madison in Federalist 51 famously expressed the assumptions lying behind a form of government designed for the “preservation of liberty”:

Ambition must be made to counteract ambition. The interest of the man must be connected with the constitutional rights of the place. It may be a reflection on human nature, that such devices should be necessary to control the abuses of government. But what is government itself, but the greatest of all reflections on human nature? If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself.

Given a fallen human nature, power must never be allowed to be concentrated into an elite of any sort, for neither birth, wealth, nor wisdom can guard against the destructive excesses of power. Defend the people’s ordered liberty, equality of opportunity, and equality under the law, and the freedom of all will be protected.

This is the American creed, the set of ideas assent to which makes one an American­­––not blood, or soil, or any mystic “identity” exclusive of others and claiming a natural superiority over them.

The bulk of the Declaration, however, is a catalogue of the despotic acts of George III, whose “repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States,” justified the rebellion against Britain. The word “tyranny” here is not used casually: it is a technical term from political philosophy going back to its beginnings in ancient Athens. Tyranny is the opposite of liberty and equality, for it makes power the instrument of the self-aggrandizement of the few at the expense of the many. As Aristotle wrote, tyranny is “arbitrary power . . . which is responsible to no one, and governs all alike, whether equals or betters, with a view to its own advantage, not to that of its subjects, and therefore against their will. No freeman willingly endures such a government.” A tyranny is diametrically opposed to the ideas set out in the preamble to the Declaration.

At the end of the 19th century, progressivism began to undermine and dismantle the American creed, and to create a government in many ways similar to “absolute tyranny.” The advances of science and technology deluded many into believing that human nature and behavior could be understood and manipulated and improved with the same success natural science enjoyed. The old American creed based on a permanently flawed human nature and the need to disperse and balance power had to be discarded. As Woodrow Wilson said, the Constitution had to be interpreted “according to the Darwinian principle,” with a centralized government of technocrats who could shape or “nudge,” as our progressives today put it, human nature into greater “fitness” for happiness in a new world of science and technology. Now power is to be concentrated into an elite of superior knowledge charged with shaping people’s lives in order to “improve” them, and empowered to confiscate and redistribute wealth in order to finance this social engineering.

Also contrary to the Declaration is the progressive view of rights. Now rights come not from “Nature and Nature’s God,” their origins and nature transcendent. Now rights are derived from the will of flawed men, defined according to their limited and contingent vision of happiness and the good. Just as they disparage the Constitution, progressive thinkers sneer at the notion of natural rights “beyond the reach, not only of the majority but of the state itself,” as progressive historian Charles Beard wrote in 1912, who reduced natural rights to an “obsolete and indefensible” notion. Putting rights into the hands of powerful men meant that they could be multiplied and expanded by political power, as Franklin Roosevelt did in his 1944 inaugural address, in which he called for a Second Bill of Rights including everything from a “useful and remunerative job” to “adequate medical care and the opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health.” But this turns rights into the gifts of power wielded by flawed and limited human beings, and as such the foundations of our rights are temporal and always up for debate and redefinition, as we have seen in communist countries or in Islamic sharia law.

Finally, the progressives rejected the idea of the transcendent, divine authority that defined humans by their innate freedom and equality. Hence the relentless efforts to drive religion from the public square and reduce it to a lifestyle choice and expression of private identity, no different from one’s taste in food, clothes, or entertainment. In this way the moral order sanctioned by “Nature’s God” and the “Supreme Judge of the world,” as the Declaration describes the divine order, which enforced limits on license and self-indulgence, can be marginalized and bereft of its power to sanction destructive behavior. This leaves the state––a collection of flawed, corruptible human beings limited by their own “passions and interests” –– as the only authority for regulating people’s lives.

The result is to set all rights adrift, vulnerable to chance and change. The author of the Declaration, Thomas Jefferson was a deist, but even he recognized the necessity of religious belief for the American order, and the dangers of ignoring its transcendent foundations: “God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the Gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever.”

Today we live in a political order that the progressives have altered and distanced from its philosophical roots in the Declaration of Independence. Political power is now concentrated in the federal government and its 2.6 million mostly anonymous, unelected unaccountable workers who staff over 430 agencies and departments, which extend their coercive and regulatory power into every aspect of our lives. Every day we witness their tyrannical “repeated injuries and usurpations” at the expense of our freedom and autonomy, and the Constitutional balance of powers. The government confiscates wealth and redistributes it to political clients, just like the tyrants of old, in order to make people “accustomed to feed at the expense of others” and to make “their prospects of winning a livelihood depend upon the property of their neighbors,” as Polybius described the modus operandi of the ancient tyrant. Political freedom is degraded into license, the power to do what we want rather than to live as people deserving of freedom. Today we are subjects of Tocqueville’s “soft despotism,” which seeks “to keep [the people] in perpetual childhood,” and is “well content that the people should rejoice, provided they think of nothing but rejoicing.”

So today, amidst the barbecues and fireworks and the paeans to patriotism, we should take time to contemplate how far we have drifted from the ideals for which our ancestors fought and died.

 

Donald Trump has pruned back federal power to some degree, and praises patriotism and faith. But weaning the citizens from their dependence on entitlements––the engine of soft despotism–– is a monumental task that so far he has shown little interest in attempting. The difficulties the Republicans are currently facing just in reducing the growth in Medicaid spending that accelerated under Obamacare illustrate the scope of the problem. Given our $20 trillion in debt and trillions more in unfunded liabilities, our children and grandchildren are facing a fiscal Armageddon, and when it comes freedom and equality may be its first victims.

So today, amidst the barbecues and fireworks and the paeans to patriotism, we should take time to contemplate how far we have drifted from the ideals for which our ancestors fought and died.

If You’re Conservative, Here’s Why Elite Liberals Hate Your Guts

In the “What’s the matter with Kansas?” era, elite liberals seemed to genuinely believe that people who didn’t vote for them were just poor, deluded saps who didn’t understand what was in their own best interest. Is that condescending? Sure, but at least it’s not hateful. At least it assumes that liberals still need to work to bring these people on board.

Does that attitude still exist? Sure, to a degree. In fact, just this week, James O’Keefe caught a CNN producer on camera saying he thinks that the American voters are “stupid as sh*t.” 

This sort of thinking comes from the fact that liberalism is shot through with narcissism. Narcissists believe they’re better than everyone else just by virtue of being who they are. So do liberals. Liberals also believe they’re smarter, more compassionate and more caring just because they’re on the Left. Whether you’re talking about a liberal or a narcissist, this leads to high, but unstable self-esteem. 

If you genuinely have high self-esteem, you can easily brush off challenges to your competence. When you have high, but unstable self-esteem, you become much more upset when your self-image is challenged. This can lead to anxiety, anger and lashing out as part of an effort to keep those doubts at bay. It can also lead to unchecked hatred of anyone who makes you question your value. 

This tendency is amplified by the circular reasoning of liberals. Are you a better, smarter, more caring person by virtue of being liberal? Yes. Will other liberals challenge them on this? No. Will they pay attention to non-liberals who tell them that they’re not better, smarter and more caring than other people? No. So, this leads to an ironclad feedback loop. OBVIOUSLY, liberals are sensitive, wonderful and know it all and no one who matters will even question this thinking while anyone who does isn’t worth listening to in the slightest. 

So, what happens when their views are REJECTED wholesale across the heartland of the country to such an extent that you can drive coast to coast without ever crossing a district run by Democrats? What happens when people point out that most of the policies they champion don’t work? What happens when people reject the idea that liberals know what’s best for them? 

We got a taste of that right after Trump won and liberals were finally angry enough to be honest about what they really believe,

“Fascism just got hold of the United States. We are now seeing the worst of the worst elevated to positions of incredible power. Racism has been legitimized and the reports of hate crimes are rolling in. Trans children are committing suicide. Stock prices of private prisons and coal have skyrocketed. Women are months away from truly losing the right to control their own bodies.” – The Daily Kos 

This was combined with liberals going to the psych ward, cutting all their hair off and faking hate crimes. Those are all signs of stability, right? 

How about all the political violence we’ve been treated to by the Left? It’s turned into an epidemic. The Steve Scalise shooting may have gotten the most attention, but some of the other politically motivated assaults have been almost as jarring. Just to name a few…

“A Trump supporter was beaten and dragged by a car.”

“Protestors knocked a 71-year-old female staffer for California GOP Rep. Dana Rohrabacher unconscious during a protest outside the representative’s office.”

“Masked protesters at Middlebury College rushed AEI scholar and political scientist Charles Murray and professor Allison Stranger, pushing and shoving Murray and grabbing Stranger by her hair and twisting her neck as they were leaving a campus building. Stranger suffered a concussion. Protesters then surrounded the car they got into, rocking it back and forth and jumping on the hood.”

“A former professor was arrested after police said they identified him on video beating Trump supporters with a U-shaped bike lock, leaving three people with “significant injuries.”

Liberals project their own hatred onto conservatives regularly with their rhetoric. She doesn’t support gay marriage? She must hate gays. She doesn’t want to expand welfare? She must hate the poor. He doesn’t want to tear down a statue of a Founding Father who held slaves? He must hate black people. That’s their excuse for their own hatred. It’s actually YOU who hates everyone; so they have to HATE YOU right back. This accounts for what my girlfriend Sierra Marlee calls their "I care about everyone and if you don't believe that then I hope your kids get cancer" attitude. 

You want evidence of this? Besides the fact that the Democrat nominee was someone who quite literally noted that “Republicans” were her enemies in a debate? How about this? How about the fact that there is almost no soul-searching by liberals after their defeat by Donald Trump? There’s no talk of changing their agenda (other than making it more radical), no talk of appealing to people who didn’t vote for them, no wondering what they did wrong. 

That’s the problem. They don’t believe they did anything wrong. They believe the real issue is that you’re racist, sexist, subhuman pieces of garbage who need to be punished. When they get back into power, they’re going to do EXACTLY that and they will feel like you DESERVE IT the entire time because you’re so evil. I wish it wasn’t that way, but that is what the modern Left has become and if we don’t acknowledge that reality, we’re kidding ourselves.
