If ever a classic barroom retort for an ugly overstayed-guest made sense, it’s at the 2012 Presidential election: “Barack—You don’t have to leave angry, you just have to leave!” After all, Obama is one of those remarkable figures who feels his every failure is miraculously a blessing to everyone else. When overbearing parents insist of their deranged brat—“My child is a genius!”, they are universally reviled. But why are a failed economy, massive deficits, foreign policy turmoil and depressed populous considered acceptable when delivered by a leftist demagogue with a Chicago accent?
In any event, Superstorm Sandy reminds us that it’s a good thing the government in America doesn’t claim it can heal all ills, as Obama suggests, because when things are at their worst we often have to use our own devices to save ourselves. And this will never change. In the meantime, let us recall nine of Obama’s most obnoxious failures so to remind ourselves why not to vote for this loveable, jug-eared Marxist with the goofy grin.
Instead, hundreds of thousands of storm victims are without basic amenities such as food, heat or toilet facilities. Meanwhile millions sit in darkness, as temperatures drop into the 20s, waiting for power to be restored. Barack simply showed up, gave a few speeches and left the victims behind. But, if you allow your own brother to live off a dollar a month with stray rodents in a Kenyan slum, then why would strangers in need concern you? “Am I my brother’s keeper?” he once famously asked. Further, if dozens of American government employees trapped in a foreign terrorist firefight don’t raise the alarm, why would Eastern Seaboard storm survivors? What’s scarier—Ak47’s and mortar attacks, or a little wind and water?
The aftermath of Sandy’s destruction is a pale shadow of what could happen in a larger storm or bigger natural disaster—such as a drought, famine or some kind of new super plague. So what is the point? That for our leaders to attempt to artificially build up human dependence upon government by crises in employment, military scares or via sheer propaganda—is utter madness. Why? Because such individuals only make the suffering and loss that much greater by letting residents believe that in a major disaster, only government has a worthy response. Such instruction will further grow the natural human tendency towards passivity Further, it will encourage folks to not even bother to develop their abilities for self sufficiency which are the true hallmark of the survivor, not to mention the most important trait for everyday success, as well.
But would anyone really be surprised to find out that Barack was confronted by the deadly Libyan attack and simply decided to go for the Benghazi Bail? After all, where exactly has Obama’s famed “genius” and leadership ever been seen in action?
Finally, after the Stimulus failed to do what Barack claimed in terms of dropping unemployment, he never admitted he was wrong. Typical lack of common sense and failed policy results. Finally, Obama’s argument that the economy would have utterly imploded but for the Stimulus has no more intellectual validity than an argument over how many angels fit on the head of a pin.
#1 The percentage of Americans that own homes is dropping rapidly. According to Gallup, the current level of homeownership in the United States is the lowest that Gallup has ever measured.
#2 Home prices in the U.S. continue to fall like a rock as well. They have declined for six months in a row and are now down a total of 35 percent from the peak of the housing bubble. The last time that home prices in the United States were this low was back in 2002.
#3 Last year, an astounding 53 percent of all U.S. college graduates under the age of 25 were either unemployed or underemployed.
#4 Back in 2007, about 10 percent of all unemployed Americans had been out of work for 52 weeks or longer. Today, that number is above 30 percent.
#5 When Barack Obama first became president, the number of “long-term unemployed workers” in the United States was 2.6 million. Today, it is 5.3 million.
#6 The average duration of unemployment in the United States is about three times as long as it was back in the year 2000.
#7 Despite what the mainstream media would have us to believe, the truth is that the percentage of working age Americans that are employed is not increasing. Back in March 2010, 58.5 percent of all working age Americans were employed. In March 2011, 58.5 percent of all working age Americans were employed. In March 2012, 58.5 percent of all working age Americans were employed. So how can Barack Obama and the mainstream media claim that the employment situation in the United States is getting better? The employment rate is still essentially exactly where it was when the last recession supposedly ended.
#8 Back in 1950, more than 80 percent of all men in the United States had jobs. Today, less than 65 percent of all men in the United States have jobs.
#9 In 1962, 28 percent of all jobs in America were manufacturing jobs. In 2011, only 9 percent of all jobs in America were manufacturing jobs.
#10 In some areas of Detroit, Michigan you can buy a three bedroom home for just $500.
#11 According to one recent survey, approximately one-third of all Americans are not paying their bills on time at this point.
#12 Since Barack Obama entered the White House, the price of gasoline has risen by more than 100 percent.
#13 The student loan debt bubble continues to expand at a very frightening pace. Recently it was announced that total student loan debt in the United States has passed the one trillion dollar mark.
#14 Incredibly, one out of every four jobs in the United States pays $10 an hour or less at this point.
#15 Household incomes all over the United States continue to fall. After adjusting for inflation, median household income in America has declined by 7.8 percent since December 2007.
#16 Over the past several decades, government dependence has risen to unprecedented heights in the United States. The following is how I described the explosive growth of social welfare benefits in one recent article....
Back in 1960, social welfare benefits made up approximately 10 percent of all salaries and wages. In the year 2000, social welfare benefits made up approximately 21 percent of all salaries and wages. Today, social welfare benefits make up approximately 35 percent of all salaries and wages.
#17 In November 2008, 30.8 million Americans were on food stamps. Today, more than 46 million Americans are on food stamps.
#18 Right now, more than 25 percent of all American children are on food stamps.
#19 According to the U.S. Census Bureau, today 49 percent of all Americans live in a home that receives some form of benefits from the federal government.
#20 Over the next 75 years, Medicare is facing unfunded liabilities of more than 38 trillion dollars. That comes to $328,404 for each and every household in the United States.
#21 During the first quarter of 2012, U.S. public debt rose by 359.1 billion dollars. U.S. GDP only rose by 142.4 billion dollars.
#22 At this point, the U.S. national debt is rising by more than 2 million dollars every single minute.
#23 The U.S. national debt has risen by more than 5 trillion dollars since the day that Barack Obama first took office. In a little more than 3 years Obama has added more to the national debt than the first 41 presidents combined.
#24 The Federal Reserve bought up approximately 61 percent of all government debt issued by the U.S. Treasury Department during 2011.
#25 The Federal Reserve continues to systematically destroy the value of the U.S. dollar. Since 1970, the U.S. dollar has lost more than 83 percent of its value.

And this will never change. In the meantime, let us recall nine of Obama’s most obnoxious failures so to remind ourselves why not to vote for this loveable, jug-eared Marxist with the goofy grin.
I. Why Sandy Reminding Us of Obama/ Government Limitations is a Good Thing
A. Obama as Crisis Leader: Sandy
Obama has blown another chance to be seen as a great leader. How so? Hurricane Sandy became the most devastating storm to make landfall on the Eastern Seaboard in the last century. Without much effort, Barack could have used the time before Sandy arrived to strategically assemble stockpiles of drinking water, MRE (military meals ready to eat), medicines, blankets, water pumps, etc. for after storm delivery via military, government and private networking. Add to this medical units and search dogs, security details and various disaster experts and utility teams from military, government and other cities, and Barack could have looked like a genius—or at least a competent leader. But, preoccupied with the upcoming election, and without practical experience in natural disasters, Obama squandered a chance to really serve his country. Ironically, if he had done this his chance for reelection would have skyrocketed. Would it really be that hard to parachute food into these North East areas where people are dumpster diving to survive?
B. Sandy as Reality Check for Government Worshipers
But whether Barack failed his leadership chance for Sandy, more pressing issues remain, regarding the proper definition and role of government in human affairs. The ultimate question here is: In the aftermath of the worst storm in a century—Where is Barack, who consistently demanded we put our faith into federal government instead of state and private institutions? It is an absolute disgrace for Obama to do whatever he could to increase government aid to private citizens, and then not do what he could when the disasters came.
II. Random Thoughts From a Failed Presidency
Let’s just assume that Barack Hussein Obama does not get reelected this coming Tuesday—What are the greatest lessons of his presidency?
Experience Can’t Discounted
It might be interesting to choose “leaders” based upon potential, as was done with Obama. But if a person only has potential, how would anyone know if that person would or could use their talent to lead? The only way would obviously be to see them leading, by which time there would no longer be need to speak of only their potential.
But would anyone really be surprised to find out that Barack was confronted by the deadly Libyan attack and simply decided to go for the Benghazi Bail? After all, where exactly has Obama’s famed “genius” and leadership ever been seen in action?
Background & Friends Matter
Will America ever take for granted a potential president’s childhood and his contacts before another election? Most disturbingly, all of the warning signs of Obama’s youth—his relentlessly leftist, socialist and Marxist family and friends were discounted before his predictably progressive first term.
Patriotism is Important
Recall when the 2008 presidential candidates were lined up on a platform, hand on hearts, reciting the pledge of allegiance. Meanwhile, Barack was out in front, hands by side, looking distracted. Should we have been surprised later when he criticized America overseas, bowed to foreign potentates, or continually challenged our form of government and economics?
Common Sense Counts
It’s sad a graduate from one of America’s premier schools seems to have so little common sense as Barack. One example will suffice. The Stimulus was supposed to fix America’s economy. Barack said the Stimulus would be used for “shovel ready” jobs. Only later did Barack admit there were no shovel ready projects. Further, Barack implied simply spending money was enough for recovery, claiming the proper use of the money was not the point, but simply the spending itself….“What do you think a stimulus is?” Obama asked incredulously. “It’s spending—that’s the whole point! Seriously.”
Ethics Matters
In so many ways, Barack has failed to deliver on his promise to deliver the “Most Ethical Administration in History.” First, simply making that claim knowing he had no plan to follow through is the height of cynicism. But in so many areas of his presidency, we Barack passing himself off as lex animata, the living law—who writes his own rules as he goes along. A classic example was his promise about not using any lobbyists, and then filling his administration with them. Or how about misusing the USDJ to create Fast & Furious, sue states for protecting their borders, and ignoring voter fraud by Black Panthers?
Compassion & Humility Are Crucial
It’s hard to say whether Barack’s biggest problem is that he is an incompetent, arrogant know-nothing—or that he is a crypto-socialist trying to sabotage America. But so many problems in the US would evaporate if Obama actually had some sympathy for those he governs. For one, he would have really put employment before his pet boondoggle, Obamacare. And again, if he cared about the poor and helpless, as he loves to brag—he would have never allowed our Libyan ambassador to be without real security, and would have rescued him immediately when he called for help under attack.
Religion is Key
The fact that most Americans identify as Christian is important to our politicians for obvious reasons. But beyond this obvious fact, the most simplistic person can be educated on how much more effective and pleasant rules for government, law, and economics are taken from our Christian heritage. But Barack, in his own obdurately arrogant manner, refused to ever admit there was any difference between religions. In doing this, he not only offended the average church goer, but also turned his back upon the greatest source of safety, security, liberty and prosperity in the history of the West—our biblical heritage.
The Peter Principle is a Proven Rule
Barack has proven that one can be easily promoted beyond their abilities, or as Obama has wisely put it about himself… when asked about things he didn’t understand “That’s above my pay grade.”
Socialism Never Works
If the last four years prove anything, it’s that any move towards progressive policies destabilizes and impoverishes the economy and people of a country. We know that 40% of private wealth has evaporated under Obama. Here are some more statistics from the Independent Journal (Sept. 4, 2012):
- 42—Consecutive months with (official) unemployment over 8%.
- 66,000—Average number of jobs added per month since recovery started (Below level needed to keep up with population growth.)
- 63.7%—Labor force participation rate (30-year low.)
- 52%—Percentage of voters that say the nation is in worse condition.
- 54%—Percentage of voters that say Obama doesn’t deserve reelection based on his job performance
- 31%—Percentage of voters that say the nation is in better condition today than when Obama took office.
- $16,000,000,000,000—National Debt will hit $16 trillion today.
- $1,311,000,000,000—President Obama, on average, has added $1.311 trillion of debt per year.
- 7—Months since Obama last met with jobs council.
- 100—In that same time, Obama has held over 100 fundraisers.
- 1,224—Days since the Democratic-led Senate adopted a budget resolution, on April 29, 2009.
- 0—votes Obama’s budget received in the Senate and House (414-0 in the House, 99-0 in the Senate.)
Conclusion
In case you were not convinced on the insanity of Obama’s malignant policies, here are 25 more jaw-dropping statistics from Barack’s first term, from End of the American Dream website (April 27th, 2012):#1 The percentage of Americans that own homes is dropping rapidly.
